In our position, who did we really expect to secure ?

People dismissing Griffin, are not being realistic as to what we have to offer. We can't attract a Bellamy/Robinson level coach, so then the choice is Wane ( not coming) or 2 unproven ex-players in Fitzgibbon/Ryles.

BOTH from good systems, but can we afford to go down this path ? I don't think so.

For those on here embracing and endorsing the nepotism at play in our club, I say you deserve what you get. Don't start complaining when it all turns to crap.

First the support for Price even though he was carp and then, the support for Mary and he was even worse. Now the support for a deal that smacks of nepotism.

Yep I put my hand up. There I was sitting in a bar in Bali sitting near me from the Gong. They knew Mary and they gave Mary the stamp of approval. Well he did win a couple of matches as coach and the team went close in 2018 but it's been a terrible ride. Never knew what team would turn up,t one that could put it all together and win or the one that turned on the crap. Mostly the last one. Make me excited again.

I agree with you completely, mate. I said last week in here I was hoping Griffin would get the gig.

He is a development coach like you've pointed out, so would be a really good fit at our club.

I can also see him getting much better performances out of Norman and Hunt considering his previous history with the both of them would give him insight in to how to manage them both. Exciting appointment if it comes to fruition.

If he is being paid $700 thousand per annum for the next three years from Brisbane then the Dragons should fly in under the radar asap and offer him the job (At a very discounted price and our current owner likes discounts).

I did mention the man a few seasons back , at the time believing that they - the powers to be - would not be extending Mary’s contract . He is a tough no nonsense individual and that is what the Dragons require in what shall be the rebuilding of the entire league side .

Should Griffin be given the job / task he must be allowed full rein to do as he sees fit and is not bound by any ridiculous parameters set by the ‘ Homer Simpson’s ‘ of the Joint Venture board room .
