Well said Webb.................

"It's disappointing, we've done a lot to stick by Jack. The club's been through a lot in the last two-and-a-half, three years. The club deserves better."
So WTF did we give him a pay rise on his new contract ??? If he wasn't prepared to take unders from us ( within reason ) for all the loyalty we have shown then that would really show who he is and many here have opinions on who he really is.

Why?
JDB I can sort of understand as what the club has done for him
But why is Snoreman in this instance different to the other 11 or the players who also bolted.
NRL have fined him based on salary and record.
Not sure why the club needs to do more there.
We shall see!
I think because he has form both with Dragons and Eels but I tend to agree.

JDB is the one who needs to come up with his own punishment. He can start by giving some of his whooping unearned salary to a charity or back to the club. But that of course would require some level of remorse and pride which I doubt he can conjure up.

Well. It looks like the 12 others will be fined by the club too with JDB a bigger fine
Ok with that

Vaughan rolled the dice and came with up snake-eyes . Shame the man is gone , however how many times do fools need to be told before the penny finally drops.

For mine both JDB and Norman should also had been shown the door . Then and only then could the club start afresh , no longer with the pungent odour of scandal at the club .

Worth noting that sacking JDB, while probably should happen, may actually give us too much cap space for next season and force us to overpay those currently on the market. Between Norman and Vaughan, we already free up around 1.6 million, turning that into 2.4 million to spend on the current market may be impossible.

All rough figures anyway, and I'm sure some was already spent on Molo, McGuire etc. But still surely too much would be left over

AGAIN, Finucane is not a front rower and unless we are sacking Debellin it's not like for like. Also salary of 800k plus wont be value.
I think Finucane's value to a team extends off the field. A tough forward leader who only turns 30 this year, comes from an excellent system and has always kept his nose clean might be just what we need.

What can Hadley add to this ? Unless he knows something we don't. Perhaps he will do us a favour and blasts the Board for creating this culture.
All Hadley will add is in his usual loud mouth "everyone shut up and listen to me I know everything attitude "....what with Kent not trying to be outdone by Hadley, Sampson and Crawley and most of them talking at once might be a good idea to do what Im doing go and mow the lawn in the dark

Has to be legally justified firing and I dont think JDB and Norman qualify unless JDB and Norman instigated the party. Vaughan has runs on the board at the club and it was a party at his house.

With Vaughan suspended for 8 weeks and now sacked, I would love to know what our position is in respect of our roster. Does that open up a space immediately? If so, there is time before the 1 August deadline for a new signing.

I would say the club has had their lawyers look at it

Whispers coming out about fines for them

I think the club has dealt with this outstandingly with the eradication of Vaughan and the charitable fines for other players. Also read somewhere players were to face the board and publically apologise which I hope is the case.

I expect we will now look for a long or short term option for a prop.

Well done on this one Dragons!!

Yes you are correct Smirrors , however it would had been more beneficial to the Dragons if they had cleared all of the garbage out in one foul swoop .

I think that all NRL clubs should come to an agreement and all put behaviour and performance clauses in all contracts. If a player's conduct is in question or is "running dead' because they want to leave at least hit them in the pocket. Obviously all clubs would have to agree.
