That stuff can be learned a lot easier than size/athleticism can be.
The real disadvantage these players have is the infrastructure is already there in US college system.
One of the reasons Hayne was not used at the 49ers, even as a kick/punt returner, is because he struggled to learn the lay book.
Athletically gifted as he was, he struggled to understand how to read blocking patterns, and which way to run.
And in terms of live snaps, he never knew which block to follow.
I wish Aukafolau luck, but I don't think he will go too far; it takes years to learn the nuances of gridiron, and learn a coach's playbook.
