Lol , you do realise police will be involved don't you ?

Speaking of which, not saying I agree with the conspiracy theorists over this tampering, but does anyone else find it convenient that 2 former detectives were so quickly arrested over the death of an alleged drug dealer?

The two cops were on CCTV carrying the kid out of a storage place in a body bag. Convenient ?

My theory is the kid may have already been " got to " by detectives .

Ok let's entertain that theory . Who were the ones hiring the likes of Tahu , Poore and going berserk on contracts like the Morts ones ? The Tahu saga ( paying him after he left ) all in all f**king up our opportunities to hire decent players ? Maybe Kingston ( the hooker and the weakest position in aforementioned years ) would've still been around if they weren't spending like drunken sailors in the wrong places .

There were certainly plenty of desperation signings, as you'd expect from a desperate club. A decade of near misses and our core of club stalwarts coming to the end of their careers bred an ugly mood in our supporter base, and the grief caused by the Storm salary cap scandal created a need for scapegoats.

People criticise them for signing a rookie but that's exactly what we've got now and we're doing fine. Hagan, Stuart and Robinson all won competitions in their first season in the NRL so a rookie certainly can be effective if he's got the right support. Far worse than a rookie is an experienced coach with a reputation for failure. Fair or not, a coach's reputation is everything, and once it is gone he will never have the respect of most players. That's why a rookie is a better choice.

Anyway, I'm grateful that 3P identified the need to overhaul our recruitment/retention structure, and they were smart to bring Kearney and Nolan in. The set up we have now is responsible for our strength across the board, though I also believe Arthur has us performing at our best, if not overachieving.

It's impossible to fabricate video evidence.

Sarcasm ? Yes I am sure that it was a Roger Rogerson body double too. He probably does parties like his mate who looks like Prince William and that lebanese chick that looks like Kim Kardashian.

Disagree with your comment on the supposed overhaul of recruitment / retention and the so called "academy". Recruitment and retention seemed to be fine for the years 1996 - 2006 . We have always had good juniors mainly due to the strength and quality of our junior league. Success in junior reps has been steady for some time. Decision making in recruitment has been questionable and many people here seem to agree.

But when you look at the success of this year, The NRL team really has only had an injection of 3 new players. They being, Hoppa, Norman and Peats. Having a coach who coaches and players respond to has been the major difference the year.

Firstly if these allegations are proven correct there should be life bans from the club for all involved, sadly this is terrible news and not good with a massive 3 vs 4 game coming up on friday night. Shame that some people on here seem to think it is great news just to prove some sort of pathetic point. Way to go

And thirdly to the plonker who thinks people should apologise for voting for 3P, pull your head in dickhead the club needed change after 30 years of the same muppet which 26 of those didn't win us a cracker. It's not the voters fault that the people they voted for let them and the club down.

Ever thought that we are just happy to be rid of a germ ? some people just need to get past the fact they look a bit silly now and move on .

But gloating like a child who just got the last lollie while the club gets further dragged through the mud shows how much you must love the Eels. If they have done the wrong thing they will be booted but it is hardly anything to be pleased about.

I'm sure that Spags is innocent and that heads will f**king roll for defaming his character.

No doubt his mate from the SMH, Adrian Proszenko, will post his reply to these outrageous allegations.

The academy was talked up as the way to make sure we were retaining the best juniors.

In reality, Rocket Rod and Fitzy had made some poor choices in recent history, and what needed to happen was the right choices be made (ie choosing to upgrade Hauraki, Tautai and Oake instead of matching TRex)
I'm not exactly sure what the supposed 'academy' actually does? Is it a training squad of players earmarked as talents? Or is it a bunch of blokes who sit down and think 'which of these young'uns will be best in first grade'?
