Can the Merkins sign Cheika up for 5 years give him some decent assistants and let's get moving forward ffs.

Get the Argentina Rugby team out here to teach these Merkins how how to be tough!
How about sign a couple of them ffs.

League is a simple game compared to the shit they call a sport in union.

They didn’t even need to be lying to be deceptive about that. If five merkins (for example) had input into the process it doesn’t matter who had the biggest say. They still needed to achieve consensus. You’d expect the others to listen to the coach but in the end the team will still be there after he is gone, and the other members know it. That’s why most coaches don’t do recruitment and retention in the modern game.

Grow up merkin. Go back to bullshitting with your deadshit troll mates, sifting through media sound bites for the bullshit you like best.

I'm on the Cheika wagon now. I went from Ryles to Hannay to Cheika. The first 2 I thought would be (and still would be) great because of their footy brains but Parra needs a culture change because losing is something engrained into us. Yesterdays game even when 8 in front and 20 minutes to go, it was clear to see we were going to lose the game. Cheika would bring in a fresh change and won't settle for what we are dishing up. The other coaches may be great but can they bring a culture change with it?

No, I think if a bunch of deadshits on the internet can see what’s going on, so can the coaches.

As for how quickly their tactics evolve, it is limited by the roster. We play a heavy offloading style because it suits our squad. Our defence collapses when we don’t control the ball because we lack toilers in the pack. Tactics don’t fix that. ‘Tactics’ is the lazy fan’s excuse for every loss, so they can blame one scapegoat and hope everything will be better when he’s sacked.

It’s possible for some players, but really, if this was a problem Bellamy wouldn’t still be at the Storm.

Obviously. Look how the Panthers went from shit to great when the NRL decided to make the game faster during Covid. Shame Cleary wasn’t such an innovator before Covid.

Absolutely we're a club in need of a rebuild. Anyone that thinks ba left the club in a great place are either tct tragics or utterly delllusional.

Whoever pushed for those 4yr deals to the 5 players in 22 is to blame.
Rcg,jnr,lane,matto,sivo

Not one deserved a 4yr deal. Only players that do are Moses.
We also let the King milk us. To think he is on 850k this and next year.

let's face it coaching parra is not like any other team (except the tigers)

the new coach might get a pass for the first year but after that if the team fails to perform they will be the lead story on nrl360 every night and the back page headline in the telegraph every day

big ask for a rookie coach to be thrown into that kind of pressure especially ryles who is used to being virtually ignored by the melbourne media at the storm

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Its why Cheika is the standout and the club needs to roll the dice.

He will handle the pressure i think he will thrive on it personally.

Especially if he so desperately wants to give the NRL a crack.

And then get a proper HOF along with a recruitment officer to set up our pathways which is what a well resourced club like we claim to be should be doing anyway with any coach we have in place.
