The Southstand has sold out at Headingley for NZ v PNG on Friday.

You can't get more than 2 tickets together in the North Stand either and as of Friday, they didn't have and tickets in the centre sections of the Carnegie stand.

Over 14,000 tickets had been sold by Saturday so with a big final push they could get near the 19/20k mark which for a game that doesn't involve any home nation team would be a hell of a result.

Just had this text from Leeds Rhinos...

"World cup fever hits Headingley! NZL v PNG this Fri 8th. South Stand & Carnegie Terr Sold Out! All other areas still available at www.rlwc2013.com. Be There!"

I like that they're pushing this week so hopefully is a near 20,500 sell out.

It'll be bloody awesome if they can get close to 20,000.

I dont think there's really been a bad crowd this whole tournament.

Whats the expected crowd for the England game at Hull?

The Tonga vs Cook Islands game tonight is now a sell out (capacity 11,000). Confirmation on the Leigh Centurions twitter. Although the weather in Leigh right now is like St Helens the other night unfortunately.
Also the Tonga vs Italy game at Halifax on Sunday has only 400 tickets left (capacity 10,500). It'll definitely sell out by Sunday. Confirmation on the Halifax twitter page.

Im loving how everyone has bought into this tournament. There really has been no let downs in crowd figures so far.

England has played several times at Leigh, now Tonga v Cook Islands holds the stadium record. Just shows how well the marketing team has done.
