Flanno's New Signings

It's a case of "reaching for the sky" and if it fails, get the next best and say "We at least tried to get Luai, Manu, AFB etc. They have decided to stay at their incumbent clubs so we have got Joe Blogs and John Doe and Fred Nerk who will fit in with our roster very nicely, thank you!"

I wont be blaming flanno for lack of signings, we dicked around with hook and got him too late. Have a look at our BOD and our last 3 coaches plus recruiting staff to see why our standards are so low. You dont hear anything from our so called owner, not like the gladiator which you see at most games. Our hope is our juniors to come good and make a name for themselves, our own DNA, and our own marquee player.

If this is Flanno's "Dragons Way", we are in the market and got the money, I'm all for it.

If we could get 1 of the big names over the line.. the 2nd and 3rd would be so much easier.. but reality is pre-season has kicked off.. its really far too late for big recruitment plays, certainly for 2024.
Yes we are like South’s at the start of their resurrection. Couldn’t get good players to join until that Dogs prop went across. What was his name? I’m thinking it may have been Roy Asotasi?

Wondering could faitala mariner add some experience and grunt to the edge?
moving him to middle hasn’t worked and dogs seem keen to move him on. Could be useful at the right price
Think he has already been shopped to us and Flanagan said no thanks.
But in the NRL you never can be sure.
Sounds like we are still an outside chance of signing Eisenhuth if Penrith cannot squeeze him in.

Faitala mariner must have some pretty serious drama with the coach or group to be denied access to training.. Surely he is one of the 'lazy' ones they are trying to remove?

Love that when this came out months ago, gus was telling us that the rumour was rubbish.

I think he's a pretty shit player but he's been clubman of the year a few times and considered their standard setter for training according to their awards. So unless the bar is incredibly low there's surely a little more a play? Either way the more drama the better for the doggies

He was the captain. Players came to him with grievances about the training and punishment etc, and as the captain and their representative he presented those concerns to the coaching staff. He's now being blacklisted because of it. Pretty poor stuff from the Dogd

Can't feel sorry for the Dogs' players if they don't like the tough training regime that the coaches have got them doing. The same applies to our players. We want our guys to be stronger, faster, fitter etc and we have new guys appointed to get this stuff done. It only helps them and helps the club with more chances of winning games.

Faitala- Mariner, being the captain to represent the players, is now out of favour because he should have told the other guys complaining to shut the f**k up and get cracking with the hard slog and not whinging to the Coaches about the "tough" training conditions. That's probably what Gus and Ciraldo have said.

I hope our guys don't complain and appreciate and can see the benefits of getting to a better level with their strength and endurance conditioning. They are the things that could define us and strive to make the top 8.

It's why though I dont think RTM was picked up by other clubs.. would have been a perfect fit at the right price for us on the left edge, captain level experienced forward, but it sounds like the exact opposite vibe you want when trying to take the squad to the next level.
