But FC membership is now part of the Season Ticket.

If an FC member, like myself say, has purchased a Ticketed membership (or in my case renewed my Season ticket into a Ticked membership) does it mention that my FC membership is part of that and my tenure and voting rights will continue via that ticketed membership?

Suity, as MITS mentioned

If you are a Current Football Club Member, does it say on the form anywhere that your Football Club membership will now be transfered to your Season Ticket Membership?

To answer both your questions, yes it does.

Also says that if you renewed your membership before 1st October, they will be honored, and no extra payment is required (for the Blue Blood Pack) until it comes time to renew your membership.
It also says that if you have paid the $25 for FC membership and then go and purchase one of the new memberships, your $25 will be refunded.

At least they will honour any members who did join before Oct 1

Thank God for that

I have to remember this from a conversation last year.

Okay. Financial year is 1st November - 31st October.

Membership year is 1st September - 31 August.

I've always had to renew mine in November. That is always annually from when I joined.

Renewal forms, always came out in November with the Notice of AGM. Renewals were always due come the 1st of September if I recall my conversation with Kevin Wise last year, where everyone was concerned about voting rights.

Here is where it gets sticky. From my information, your 2009 membership badge is valid from, 1st September 2009 - 31st August 2010 and renewals were for next year.

Cheers for posting that Suity. I won't pick up my notification letter for a few days.

I already have plans to be away for that weekend, so hope that everyone enjoys the fun!

I think they should get that and only that, plus their membership. At least it gives them the option of being a member with basic voting rights!

No buying window etc etc, that should be only available to Blue Blood and STH's.

"and blue blood members will be assigned an electronically generated membership number from our database system that will assist you in buying gf ,soo etc during member preferential buying perioid"
this is from the letter

Yeah I just think that there should be a standard $25 option, but no, it seems like the club's a bit obsessed with it's 30,000 members goal, so they're slugging the old members an extra $45 right in the middle of the Global Financial Crisis. It's genius.

I was commenting on a similar vain with regards to STH. We should have been given the opportunity to just get a seat like previous years instead of paying extra for the membership etc. I know the extra is good value if you want it but that can be said about every offering.

Most people seemed to think I was just being difficult, so I can not see anything different here.

Mmmm but in saying that, a $20 jump isn't huge. And you are receiving a lot more for that money including membership and the supporters packs. I used to hate the fact that BGA was seperate to ST's so I don't think $20 is a big ask. You are also getting a $20 voucher for footy heaven.

A lot of the FC members would just be renewing their memberships for voting rights and year book. I don't think the full packs should be forced onto them.

not everybody needs or wants a $20 voucher to footy heaven, but it's a good idea as most would spend more than the $20 so they would get some sales they may not have got.

that's $20 per ticket, so can add up for families, you don't/can't buy FC memberships for all the kids.

I thinks everyone's opinion is influenced by their individual situation and wants. You can not satisfy everyone but providing a bare bones option plus choice of add ons in both situations would have been the way to go.
