Okay good it looks like we agree on that. I literally thought for a while that they were gonna lose because of how terrible their campaign was. I still don't know if it will pass tbh..

Well i know if you're a devout Christian it's pretty common to be taught that marriage is a sacrament only to be performed between a man and a woman. In fact I think most religions don't really condone gay marriage but are supportive of gay relationships. I don't really believe in marriage anyway I think it's a big lol.

I would be very surprised if it lost. Not that it matters as Labour would just pass it when they get voted in anyway. Its totally inevitable at this point.

What does freedom of speech have to do with gay marriage?

Why do you think your belief in a god should give you the right to decide who can and can’t get married?

I will admit gay parents makes me uncomfortable, but I put it down to being a defect in my personality. There’s plenty of hetro couples f**king up kids lives. If it’s two loving parents how can that be worse than crappy ‘normal’ parents? At least gays have to make a conscious decision to have a baby it’s not accidental.

I was raised as a prody but I believe in science now. I’m married to a semi practicing Buddhist. We got married in a civil service with a bit of ancestor worship thrown in for good measure. Why is this ok in gods eyes but not two people of the same sex?

It’s a human rights issue. If I was gay I wouldn’t be here now. I came here on a marriage visa and that option just isn’t available to SS couples.
I don’t think people really understand what wide ranging impacts this has.

You gave a list of points i replied to them and you haven't replied back. Thats how a discussion forum is supposed to work.

I honestly don't know why its a touchy subject for you as it does not effect you. I would vote yes if I could but its not a touchy subject my life won't change either way.

Freedom of speech has a lot to do with it.... we should all be able to say how we truly feel....

God imo created man and woman to be in marriage and raise families.....

The costs will come out of taxpayers money.....

I don't want my tax money being wasted on such clinics when there are more important health matters imo......

Single parent families can be fine and imo it's when there are say 2 ladies and one is pretending to be a man that it can affect the child physcologically.... it's a concern to me.....

Schools are where kids get educated and it can be tough years some go through so to me it's a major concern plus legal things that will happen in future due to this when it is allowed.......
