Actually I completely forgot about Campbell, he takes the cake for top blokes.
I was on the sideline watching Nathan Blacklock play his first game of club rugby union(this was just after he signed for the Waratahs) against my club in second-grade and Campbell was there watching him. We happened to be standing next to each other on the sideline and I would have been something like 12 or 13 at the time. He actually started talking to me and just asked me about what footy I played and was joking around with me and was just the nicest guy ever. He didn't even carry himself like he was any better or any cooler than anyone else there, he was very low-key. It didn't feel like he was being accomodating of a fan, it seemed like he genuinely enjoyed sharing a laugh with a kid.
He would be a nominee for best bloke in the world, let alone in the NRL.
Presto is an absolute champion. As a koori, It's great to see a bloke like Preston who conducts himself the way he does. It's always great to see a level-headed role model for our people (wish the same could be said about Mundine).
Actually on Mundine,i have two cousins who are really good friends with him. He is COMPLETELY different in person than what we see in the media. He is a very nice bloke, who has a lot of time for everyday people/"non-athletes". It is frustrating to see him carry on like a tool in the media at times.
Kieran Foran is another with a "im a f**king superstar" vibe, saw him at big day out acting like a tool.
Buderus is an absolute champion. Saw him talking to some old female fans and he just conducted himself as a 'gentleman' and was extremely patient when they were talking his head off. He lived next door to my mate and his family said he was the nicest bloke you'd ever meet.
Gallen and Bird are pretty much what you would expect from what my cousin tells me, he drinks with them a lot.
Mark Geyer seems like a nice enough fella.
