Like jim said, it's chicken or the egg. If the Tigers play as "few as possible" at Campbelltown, then funding for that venue would be a little bit harder forthcoming.

And as a club, throughout their entire existence since the Western Suburbs Magpies and Balmain Tigers merged, they've had too many home grounds. This year, the Tigers allocation of home games were:

Commbank (4)- Storm, Souths, Panthers, Dragons
Leichhardt (3)- Eels, Raiders, Bulldogs
Campbelltown (3)- Warriors, Sea Eagles, Knights.
Suncorp (1)- Cowboys
Tamworth (1)- Sharks

So yeah, only 3 games at Campbelltown this year, while at Commbank, it had the bigger drawing matches. The Tigers used 5 home grounds. The Tigers are spreading themselves too thin.

If there is some sort of disconnect between themselves and Campbelltown, then it's no surprise. There is a lack of presence in the south west corridor, an area the Tigers should be focusing more, not negligenting.

From an outsider looking in, the Wests Tigers look like a club without an identity both on and off the field. By the end of this season, they will get the wooden spoon.

If the Tigers want to rise, not only does it need to get the recruitment and coaching right, but also using the right home grounds with fairer allocation of matches.

IMO, Wests Tigers future is the south west corridor- Campbelltown. They should embrace the area, not negligent it.
That may be true but you cant expect them to move somewhere that doesn't have an adequate venue. What if moving all games there doesn't eventuate in a new stadium? Surely the better response would be to work with the soccer club and put forward a proposal that they would move most games there IF the stadium is rebuilt. We've seen the flip flopping of funding for stadiums in the last decade, I wouldn't be going their on a 'hope' that it encouraged a redevelopment!

I suspect their corporate supporter base isn't down there either hence why they stay closer to the city for majority of games.

They are a gong side. They're based down there. Even their flegg side is, and they play their games at various venues in the Illawarra.

Dragons pathways don't even get to play on Jubilee much (apart from a semi tomorrow but that's because it aligns with NRL for once). There are never stand alone pathways matches at Jubilee like you would have with Manly or Cronulla or Balmain at Brookie, Woolooware and Leichhardt respectively. The St George Ball and Matts sides (not affiliated with Illawarra who have their own teams at that level) use Mascot Oval as their home ground for games.

Doesn't feel like a "gong" side to me. This is coming from an ex Steelers fan.

from the sounds of it leaving to your lot certainly isn't getting you anywhere. Maybe you need people from modern well designed cities with awesome stadiums and public transport to show you how its done!
Are you talking bout the same folk that cant entice the NRL to put a team all the way over across the country? Those folk

We get it. You don’t like anything modern.

If it were up to you, every team would be playing in decrepit and decaying s***holes.

Spending what will be over $500 million on state of art stadium to be used by only panthers makes no sense. Two new grand stands at fraction of cost would do trick. Rich club panthers should open wallet too.

Rebuilding parra & sfs to previous capacity made no sense either. Lesson is politics gets in way of what's best for community

No argument that it is better. Put a state of the art stadium in Penrith and see how it benefits the region!
