The ruck infrigments were pretty bad. Even the 9 commenetators were repeatedly saying how Parra had to be close to conceding one.

If they are going to have that rule should be straight out like basketball and the count starts from the time the ref calls held, 3 count for std and 4 or 5 for dominant if thats still a thing. That way he can't call milking etc like last night just a straight count.

Agree with this, with 1 addition, if it’s ‘milking’, then they should penalise the player who is milking... so a consistent 3 seconds for standard tackles, consistent 5 count for dominant tackles, and if a player is milking to try get a set re-start, penalise them, don’t let them get away with that bullshit, because that’s when we start making new interpretations to deal with it, rather than just penalising them

If its a straight count why would you bother milking? No point. And milking is open to interpretation like he claimed we were last night.

Just Held 3 Mississipi, 2 Mississipi 1 Mississipi the tacklers are off or its a restart.

I’m not talking about Woodsy type milking of flopping around on the floor with no real purpose or benefit - It’s those slimy storm merkins - they will find some judo crap way of holding the tackler into the tackle so they always get a set re-start, that’s the problem that would need solving with a consistent count approach..

Frenzy.

Said this before. Not rocket science but the NRL persists in living in the land of subjectivity.

Keep leaving at opinion like it is and it'll fekk the game.

Yeah plenty of bells and whistles.

Didn’t you hear the refs whistle pinging Moylan for being inside the 10metres and the bell for all the set re starts we gave away.

Didn’t you see all the awful play from Moylan that dead set killed us.

Etc. Etc.

And you reckon that was our best performance all year?

Your just a bum on the street.

You're.

I'm not Moylans greatest fan but that was a pretty solid effort first game back, arguably out of position, terrible conditions for any playmaker. He did alright with what was in front of him.

I'm actually annoyed that the better team lost but I'm also happy to see finally some consolidation and true commitment to defense. If anything, this game will be a turning point for us if our defense can take that resilience moving forward.

Big test next week, short turn around after this game will take some serious focus to keep up that kind of energy over an improving Tits side.

Post of the thread.

Outcome is that we can beat a Top 4 side and were a gust of wind and a whistle blow away from doing so on the back of improving our main weakness.

Moylan was fine but imperfect, the f**k could he do in a game like that? Combinations were shot but the conditions made it extremely tough for the halves to play a role. The final play kick to the corner was extremely unlucky to not come off...must have been the only patch of field the ball bounced off all night.

yesterday’s loss won’t be so bad as long as we can back up the performance and beat the titans which we should do. My concern is the short turn around and the energy they would have zapped yesterday in those conditions plus the downer feeling not getting the job done. If Morris can get them up for next week and get the 2 points, we might be half way there to being the real deal.

Penrith will be coming off a big month or so of footy. Surely they can’t keep this standard up forever. Hopefully by the time we play them they’ll be due.

Yeah I am thinking they can't keep up this form forever. Sure they might keep it up till our game but no way they are this hot all the way through to the finals.

Guaranteed we won't beat Penrith

I'm so pissed that we lost yesterday. Geez the eels have had some favours this year from the NRL

Titans are going well also so we MUST get 2 points next week or its it's all over red rover

The kick was on, but it might have been a better safer option to go through the hands with the overlap?

Great shot.

Yeah Graham is ready to take the pass and if he runs a straight line it’s draw and pass.

Katoa has his arm in the air to indicate he’s ready to chase down a kick.

Only problem the ball finished at the base of the Grandstand.

How bad was Ron's concussion?

Hope there is not too much wrist slitting in here if Nene or Goodwin has to play.

Exactly!

Last time we played a top 4 team, they put 50 on us.
