Game Day vs. Bronco

has anyone ever noticed in this competition that when a side, or coach, is getting ragged on they bring out their BIG games. Tigers recently, Dragons last week. These are their big games, they are trying to get their season back on track already. The Raiders and Warriors are next in line, and maybe the Dogs. It happens every season.
We look like we are over flogged. There may be some secret plan behind that.

Overtraining. Get the km into the legs now. Only reason I can think of for the flatness of the past month. Tigers we were flat too
that's probably what's happening.
they just look completely f**ked.
fatigued.. making poor decisions and mistakes.
completion rate right down.

As soon as I saw that Finucane was out, I was worried about the game. The team looked awful in the effort areas - support play, kick chase, defensive line speed, first contact, and pressure on the kicker. When they were behind with Parra - they looked confident. They didn't panic, they just played their game. Tonight they were trying to score every play that there wasn't any structure. Even the try was from a clusterf*ck of a play salvaged by Moylan.

Some thoughts on specific players:
- Worst game from Hynes. He was terrible. He was slow, yet also look panicked. First game he has looked like a rookie half out of his depth.
- Game got worse with Williams and Tolman on. It happened last week, and it's happened again. These two are soft as butter in defence, and look like they're running in it too. Unfortunately, with BHU out they will keep seeing game time.
- Ramien looked elusive, but so many times he's crabbing across the field I just want him to explode into the line. It's like he expects there to magically be a hole for him.
- Brailey worked and he got out quickly at dummy half when he could, but there was literally no one with him. He was let down by the team IMO.
- Graham's first game back. Meh. I can't really judge him too much because of how the team was playing, but the left side looked awkward with him there.
- Trindall - didn't look awful and actually had some energy.
- McInnes played too many minutes - his line speed in the last 20 was awful.
- Katoa has some amazing put downs, but boy can he drop passes so much.
- Kennedy looked dangerous, but I'd really like him sniffing around the ruck and supporting Brailey, etc.

It’s literally this.

Penrith want to win every game all the way through. So do Melbourne. Everyone else is just happy to get to the 8 and then hope for the best.

we have no ruthless attitude yet. The current crop have too much sharkness embedded.

this is a looong journey so hold ya hats everyone.

Yep. Was weird. Rushed play the balls and dumb mistakes. McInnes in first 10 Infront of posts if we just were patient could have scored there or built pressure with repeat set but it’s not Fitz go. He is telling them to attack and they’ve got nothing. Strangely played into their hands and didn’t change tact.

Very similar performance to what the roosters put in on Monday, side to side With little structure.
I would have loved to see Lachie Miller injected into the game with 15 to go, he must not be to far away.

No Finucane, no win.

The Manly game was an exception, cos Talakai went off…
I don't think it can be understated how important he is. Not just in the forward rotations - but the effort levels, the leadership and calmness. He would have pulled the team into a structure.

Nicho needed to take ownership for the team, but he played into the ad lib ball.
