Mansour and Blake played like 10 games less too. Their metres per game is phenomenal.

But the more metres your backs gain to start a set. The quicker and earlier your forwards are on side. Its not a disadvantage to the forwards metres gained

Yep. Gives them momentum against a less set defence.

Where did I say it was a disadvantage? 6 tackles in a set.
Tackle 1 Edwards
Tackle 2 Mansour
Tackle 3 DWZ
Tackle 4 Peachey/Blake

Leaves 1 tackle for a forward to have a hitup.

Eels ran riot against Tamou and Leota. The only time sll season they have been in a contest.
.
This is true. I remember those tries being scored and I thought "why the hell isn't Tamou there tackling that winger. Once is bad enough, but twice. He is paid way too much". I was ropeable when Norman scored that try, again where was Tamou? He could easily have pushed Wallace and JFH out of the way and tackled Norman. That won't show as a missed tackle either. Pfft.

His laziness continued when we played South's. Walker makes a break, where was Tamou FFS? He should have chased him and run him down. Hopeless.

true. It all comes down to how they want to use him. Probably will change depending on who we play. I doubt we want the average guys starting against Klemmer, JT13 etc.

Our 2nd half record is amazing so our bench is working. It is the starts we need to fix

That is 100% a load of shit.

Peta Hiku averaged more than Tamou sure. But it was only 106m per game. Oldfield played 1 game for us. 2 for Raiders and averaged 80m per game.

Most wingers only run big metres when they get a linebreak and boost their stats that way. Doing the tough carries Mansour does is not that easy. Carrying a forward pack is not supposed to be a wingers job either. Getting front rowers onside quicker should help them make bigger metres as they can get more opportunities for runs.

You're comparing apples with carrots. Hiku plays in the backs, Tamou in the forwards. Please when rubbishing on a player, please put up another who plays in the same position.

He was the player closest to where the line was broken actually. Watch the highlights. He barely put any effort into that kick chase and it led to a try.

We were losing those games in the middle. But just ignore that their forwards all made great metres against him. Amd focus on where the tries were scored AFTER going through the middle of us.

Tim Mannah notched up 100 metres in his first stint against us. Tamou didnt do that all game. He and Leota couldnt stop the Eels pack from dominating.

But hey ignore his metres gained. Ignore his oppositions metres gained. Ignore the fact he's paid to be an elite front rower and isnt close to the same class as the true elite forwards.

He has been here for over a year now... and he has proven he hasnt ever been the man yo swing momentum in our favour. Nor has he been able to stop the opposition pack getting great metres.

How is that not his job? Our f**king halves make more metres than he does FFS.

Read the post i quoted. I didnt bring Hiku into it.

And the Tamou defence force is using our backs as an excuse for him putting in 90 metre per game efforts.

Deadset. He's our highest paid forward. He should be held to a higher standard than a McKendry or Browne.

Laughs at a suggestion Mansour is worth $400k while Tamou is collecting $700k+...

The average wage under this new salary cap is supposed to be $330k or something like that. Yet Gus doesnt think our Australian rep winger who carries our forward pack is worth slightly above the average?

The laugh from Gus was that $400 won't even get you to the starting gate. Gus knows exactly what Sauce is worth.

If thats why he laughed than atleast he's not completely insane.

Edit
Franklins post certainly implies the opposite.

He was asked. How much is Mansour worth. He did well and asked them how much would they pay. The answer was $400k..To wish Gus said 'Goodluck filling a team if a you pay a winger that' Bulldogs for example are at the stage they need to pay overs for talent. Parra too so safe to say he is gone

I'm getting a headache from some of the ramblings on here. (yes I'm complaining). Talk about using stats out of context to prove a point.

I wonder why so many of you aren't on elite coaching staffs since you all seem to know so much.

We are all nobody punters except for me who is the holder of all knowledge about R/L knowledge. :p:eek:

So much about Tamou, yep I understand some don't rate him. He could run over 200 meters per game, cut up the oranges at 1/2 time, be the ground announcer and he still wouldn't be rated.:p

Dogs offered $600k to Mansour... So that could be what Alice is referring too. No way we will match that nor should we. Props and Wingers are easily replaceable

Yes it is. The only way Sauce will be re-signed is if some pretty hefty TPA's are arranged by the player manager, and he stays cause he loves us. :D

I'd rate him if he did that. He'd be more than earning his pay packet.

But he doesn't. And hasn't looked like he would since he arrived here. If we can find a similar style player on less on coin I dare say he will be released in the 2018 off-season.

Alice shakes her head when irony is not understood. :D You and i have no idea what the expectations of Tamou are. So claims like this are nothing more than rumour mongering and wishful thinking on your part.

?

James Tamou start of 2017: Current NSW and Australian representative, premiership winner, 28 years old with his best years ahead of him.

He was signed to lead the pack. That was the expectation. How can we dispute that?

James Tamou is being rated fairly here.

Depends what you mean by leading the pack. He is a beast in the gym for starters you can't measure that sort of stuff nor can you on his paypacket without knowing exactly we he gets and other forwards get.
