I am not following it up with saying they underperformed or the coach is garbage. Like with us lets see where they are in 2 years when the changes take effect

I hope we don't need another 2 years. We should be good this year. Maloney obviously needs a few games though.

FACT is... saying that doesn't make something a fact.
Alright mate fair enough, but this is a RL forum, not a court of law. Though I'm unwilling to provide forensic evidence to my facts, I thought I'd try to balance out the masses of mis-information I read here daily. I trust my information, and have no reason to make things up, but it's up to the readers whether they take it on board or not. You obviously don't, yet constantly present media reports and rumours as evidence
I can help thinking you'd be more receptive to my "facts" if they supported your pre-conceived opinions.
Let's just leave it there and agree to disagree.

Keep having input. Different opinions and perspective is good.

No. I like things that can atleast be somewhat verified. Everytime you claimed something as fsct. It couldnt be. Which meant it was an opinion.

Im happy to agree to disagree. I had more issue with you claiming what you were saying as fact than what you were actually saying.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I like to be able to back mine up whenever possible. Which seems to be frowned upon here.

That's fair. I always said this year should determine whether he gets a contract extension.

2016 was Ivan's squad. Players like Taylor, TMM and a few others don't fit the big bodies Hook likes. Hell even the support staff, assistants he had no say over for year 1.

It is why I haven't been critical of his apparent flaws. I imagine all the new coaches mentioned will have the same leeway. I wouldn't imagine their positions being in doubt until 2020 atleast

This years competition is going to be the closest we’ve had in a long time. The teams which have been struggling for the last few years are not easy beats anymore.

Not many teams are remembered for their first ten rounds. Look at the Dragons from last year. Won the first 8 or so. However, we’ve started with 2-0. That will help us greatly come origin and September.

Contrary to the thoughts of some I believe this team is the best we’ve had in a long time. The balance and talent we have across the park is incredible. The belief and ability to get the job done is just like that of the top teams.

Let’s have this discussion after round 10 or so. Then we’ll all have context.

Tmm looks massive to me at Cowboys. For a half or hooker he looks bigger than most.

Swear he bulked up in the off-season.

Most of us think the same. We have a good roster and with the addition of Maloney we should be pretty sweet.

Teams aren’t remembered for their first ten rounds, but teams that don’t perform well early rarely win the title or even make the top 4.

I dunno. I remember the Dragons being the benchmark for close to 10 weeks last year only to have the mother of all chokes to miss the finals.

Missing the finals last year isnt as funny if you forget they were sitting first a third of the way through the season.

Like most here, I also think this is our defining year. We need to be at the Grand Final or at least close to it this year.

Couldn't have had a better start, we have a four point jump on teams like the Sharks and Eels who we will be jostling with for top 4 positions come year end. Can add the Cowboys to that list as well if we win tonight.

You’re right, they’re definitely remembered if they choke.

1st aim is getting 12 wins to qualify for the finals. Being 2-0 helps that certainly but still a long way to go. Ultimately we want 16 wins to get top 4. Although Top 4 and PF are same really. So work on top 8 and go from there

Ok, so Tamou gets a rest this week while we bash Griffin following a 2 point loss?

Lets get on with it then.

Depends why we had issues. Is it the gameplan that's crap and they play better when they start playing on instinct later or are they not applying the gameplan properly to start with?

I thought Tamou ran harder today than he has since being here so credit to him for the effort.

Gus mentioned on Channel 9 that of the tries conceded against us this year most have been on our left edge (i.e. Mansour, originally with Peachey now with Whare). That they recognise it as a problem and are working on it.

As I mentioned in another post, I'd hazard a guess that most of those were as a result of mistakes by Mansour in positioning (leading to miss tackles or being run around completely), or not being able to turn and chase quickly.

We are not getting busted across the park - our middle and goal line defense is tight. Our weakness is that edge.

Mansour missed 6 tackles and Whare 4. I fail to see any value in Whare, no matter how cheap he was.
