Backing him this year. I'd like him to take Salmon's spot on the bench.
A fit Peachey could be the x factor we seem to lack

The Bulldogs still have sufficient funds to be in the market for Mitchell Moses and Spencer Lenui!!!!! They’ve done remarkably well.
Is there not still limits on the number of players you can have on minimum contract? Only the players 26-30? The minimum wage has been raised significantly under the new agreement, so outside the minimum 5, everyone else has to be contracted at above minimum wage. If the Bulldogs somehow, however miraculously manage to get Moses and Lenui over the line they will perhaps have over half their allotted salary cap spent on about 8 players. I don’t see how you can accomodate 20 odd players into 5.5 million Or less. They have funds because they have a handful of guys on contract next season, They will have to fill the squad with check players
Luke Thompson certainly he off contract after this season, Flanagan most likely or definitively if they jag Moses. TPJ has two years left on big money, so good luck moving him on unless they offer to significantly top up his deal to play elsewhere.i expect players like Pangai, Thompson and Flanagan will be moved on early to free up space

Time will tell. Crichton, Burton, TPJ, Kikau Mahoney, Sutton and other new recruits while still actively pursuing Moses and Lenui. Let’s not forget they also have JAC, Averillo and a couple of others who would be on $500k. I just fail to see how the numbers add up.The details are still to be determined but that is the problem with going down this path for recruitment

You don’t like Gus , whether you love him or hate him he played a part in where we are now. That is Gus' way.
Remember here in 2017, We had Cleary and TMM as our only halves in the Fulltime squad.
That is after letting highly paid Soward and Segeyaro leave the club. It didn't allow the side to build a side. Similar seems to be happening here

The Dogs will make the top 8 this season and will be even more competitive in 2024.
Whether you like it or not , along with the other anti Gus brigade he is building something, whether he can pull off a premiership within 5 years time will tell but he is building a pretty formidable roster.
If he can somehow pull off the Moses acquisition look out out They will be serious contenders.
The Dogs may well move some players on at the end of this season. 12 are off contract this year.
If Dogs get Moses that will make them quite top heavy Imo.
Moses over $1 mil
Addo-Carr ($550k),
Kikau ($800k),
Mahoney ($600k),
Pangai Junior ($925k)
Crichton ($825k)
Burton $750k +
The Dogs will have roughly $4.5m tied up in six players in their roster for the 2024 season.

My feelings on Gus has nothing to do with my comments here.
You need to be able to build a team up to push for premierships, Constant changing of the roster doesn't let that happen
And who brought most of them here? You only need to look at our side for proof.
Edwards
Luai
Cleary
To'o
Crichton
Kikau
Yeo
Api
Fish
Leota
Martin
Have played in all 3 GF's. Key positions there too
There coach is also part of the Penrith system. The dogs still lack a good halfback. They will be (I believe) 10-14 this year.
They may have some new toys, but these new toys will struggle outside Penrith system, just like Burton did.
And who brought most of them here?
