I do think Keiran Hipgrove is a better forward than this analysis suggests. He's had his issues with the refs but he's a goer, which is why Brennan picks him.

Good forward but he is a nut case.

Edwards has just come out of his sling from his shoulder surgery (so why would he be fit to play)

Wallace has been suffering chronic injury, barely able to train, let alone play

As I've said all the way along I see Griffin as an 'average coach'.

I was pro Hook, however, after Friday night, my patience has waned. Bring back Ivan Cleary.

A very good defense coach for the most part.
No idea about attack
No idea about pumping a side up. (long history of slow starts proves this)
Is good at backing youth for the most part
Very slow to make team changes when its clear its not working but does get there in the end.

All in all he has a job because he's ok being Gus' puppet

I find the comment about Dallin being interesting. Dallin has had ongoing issues with his hamstring for at least a couple of months.

I can understand him wanting to be cautious. (I'm sure it was done in consulation from medical staffs too) Especially when it was only 1 week into a 3 week injury.

I hope so. That being said, if Ivan was still the coach, then Nathan would not have debuted when he did.

This bit doesn't make sense. There were a lot of us who thought Luai was worth a shot at fullback, so I wouldn't blame Hook for making that call. But if DWZ was fit and he chose Crichton over him, that would be massive.

Im not a fsn of Hook. But atleast 2 of ghose points are wrong.

If DWZ was fit he plays. Guaranteed. Fullback or wing... he is a certain starter

I also believe Wallace made the decision on his own. Hook picked him while busted too many times for me to believe he would pressure him out. He likely cost us the game sending Wallace out to replace Katoa who was on fire in the finals.
