Having said that, I get the feeling this episode (The Midterms) will be coming along again soon on the W and W HD channells on Foxtel. I know we have a fair contingent on this board who greatly enjoy the West Wing, so just putting it out there. I beleive Sunday mornings they are showing 5 episodes straight, the finished last week with In Excelsis Deo (Episode 1-10)

lol @ the Old Testament (e.g. Leviticus, Exodus) - the books of Judaism known as the Tanakh - having any legal relevance for Christians.

In the New Testament Christians are told:

Galatians 3:10-14 said:
For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

A Christian holding onto the Law of the Old Testament is denying the salvation given by faith. He/she is cursed.

Lucky I'm not a Christian then.

North Korea anyone?
I've heard it's a great place to visit in the summer.

Suity

I heard this morning that the population are so malnourished that the men have the physique of young teenage girls. Whilst the western world are growing taller, the Nth Koreans are actually shrinking.

60% of their 25M population relay of rations for their daily food intake which consist mostly of dried corn and rice. Earlier his year, rations were reduced to 200 grams or less per person per day, which is only a third of the minimum daily energy requirement set by the World Health Organization.

I heard the same interview.
It's a worrying place. Rudd made sense yesterday. It's up to the major regional factions to maintain dialogue in a peaceful manner and not to appear provocative.
If things got out of hand, it could easily blow up into something rather nasty.

I'm thinking that Leviticus got seconded to the Taliban.

You might be surprised to know the Taliban are a very popular political movement among the majority Pashtun population of Afghanistan and western Pakistan.

The main appeal is probably that they're the sole representatives of Pashtun nationalism in a hostile and ethnically tense part of the world, much like the Levites were for the Israelites, who found themselves in a similar environment.

Interesting fact.

LOL at the troll who doesn't like being trolled. ;-)

If by 'troll' you mean 'to encourage discussion' then by all means troll me all day. You should know me by now. I love it.
