Yeah the Cows v Broncos final is massively overrated. For all the shit Ben Hunt cops it was actually Wayne Bennett who lost the game with his ridiculously negative gameplan in the second half.

Last night was one of those games that should go in the "GREAT" category .
As a Cows fan the 2015 GF was good ...but for a gripping intense game where you can't take your eyes off the screen I would rate some of the Other 1 point games between the clubs as better games .
As mentioned the 2010 Tigs v Roosters is also in the great category .
For me a great game usually doesn't involve your own club .( the bias tends to cloud your judgement )
It's a game where as a neutral you just sit back & are enthralled by what you see .

One other game that comes to mind ...non NRL is the Tonga V Nz test last year .

My personal favourite was Penrith's win against the Bulldogs at Penrith in 2004.

High scoring first half, an arm wrestle for the first 30 minutes of the second half and then a late flurry from Penrith to win 40-29.

Absolute cracker.

This. I saw the article yesterday about Ben going to see a psychologist because of the abuse he's been getting. It's not his fault he plays under coaches who make bad tactical decisions or are complete spuds.

Roosters vs Manly final in 2013 was a better game and it ended up 4-0. Some of the defence last night, like Inglis running out of the line and taking no-one, was schoolboy level.

Broncos vs Eels in 2008 (I think), where Denan Kemp got his 4th in the last minute was great.

The greatest game of league I've seen was Tonga vs England in the most recent world cup semi final.

As far as 2 quality teams playing at the top of their game in a big match which goes down to the last play, it’s hard to go past the 2010 saints tigers semi. I realize we lost but I still view it as the best game I’ve seen.

Some games get mentioned due to exciting finishes I.e the 2015 GF, England v Tonga Semi but for the first 70 mins were ordinary. Or the 89 GF purely because it went to extra time, I’ve watched the game 4 or 5 times over the years and as far as a quality contest it was pretty average. Best quality GF I’ve seen is 2003.

Random one but I absolutely loved the ‘Sharknado’ game between Cronulla and Souths a few ago in that torrential downpour At shark park.

There was also a match in 1990 between Parramatta and Newcastle that ended in a 12 all draw. The lead kept changing back and forth and in the end, 4 field goals were kicked!
