the way it's been set up we won't be alone, we may well struggle due to the introduction of the Gold Coast..look at other teams.

I think the big winner this year will be ESL

I can see them being better than the NRL pretty soon

Its used to be a place where the older players were put to pasture, now they a going there in thier prime.

They've just got way more money to spend, then the NRL teams.

if that's the case they should of been bigger years ago, with the introduction of the Gold Coast and an increase in the cap is not going to benefit ESL at all imo. in fact I think it might even go back to being a retirement village for NRL players.

I am assuming (hoping) that we have courted 3-5 players secretly, including Creagh, Myles and possibly K Hunt, but it is looking increasingly like the net loss in 2007 will outweigh the net gain - by a long way.

A similar thing happened at the end of 1999, but it could be debated that the kids in our junior ranks were better than what we have now (Jaime Lyon, Andrew Ryan, Pat Richards, Eric Grothe, Dennis Moran, David Vaeliki etc)....

I hope Hagen can pull a rabbit out of the hat, announce some signings, and we can end this season on a high note by making the 8!! (only 4 points off the pace!)

I think you've shown alot of optomism and at the same time declared a negative outcome..I'll be honest with you, I'm expecting 2 high profile signings and 3 to 4 minor signings and that would do us.
