f**king speculation in here.
Look, this is how it can roll:
Scenario 1
Saints just let him walk if he doesn't want to be there and wish him all the best for the future
Scenario 2
There is a clause in the contract that specifies under what frustrations a "get out" may occur for either party and the terms in which either party must be compensated.
Let's see if this apparent set of circumstances is on there........ doubtful as many contracts can't specify penalties etc.
Scenario 3
Saints agree to let him leave, for the price of his contract in full.
If he was signed for 3 years then SOMEONE needs to pony up roughly 600K.
Ouch.
Scenario 4
Legal shitfight, and it all ends up in court to try and determine what constitutes a release.
Scenario 5
Both sides come to an arrangement involving the exchange of money and potentially willing players to alleviate the mess.
Of course all this assumes there is a problem, Moltzen may come out and say "what a load of shit, I'll be at Saints in 2012".
The ironic thing is Wests may have rights to him for 2012 on minimum wage, a fee Saints can easily afford, but if its the other way around then the Tigers will need to find 10 times that amount.
