f**k NO

I WILL NOT WATCH THE GRAND FINAL IF HE IS SUSPENDED!!!!! ITS A f**kING JOKE IF HE IS SUSPENDED

he didnt lead with his feet, which was the apparent rule!!! and plus off a grubber I believe it could be different, because if he gets to the ball before goodwin does he saves the try.

AGAIN ITS BECAUSE THE PLAYER GOES DOWN THAT THE PENALTY IS AWARDED AND ITS f**kING RIDICULOUS

The fact its a grubber makes it completely different to Bryce Gibbs. Goodwin doesnt have right to that ball until he puts his hand on it. Until that point its a anybody's. Hayne tried his best to get there and when he realised he was beat he tucked the feet away.

The difference:

Gibbs was chasing Burt, and Kneed him in the back. He had time to think.

Hayne was running across at ful speed chasing a grubber. 20 MILLISECONDS between grounding and contact!!!

Hayne will get a Grade 1 contrary conduct, and he'll be fine! Case closed! See ya next year Tigers, Bulldogs and Saints Fans.

Charged but wont miss a game. Or maybe give him a 1 week suspension so they know how ripped Melbourne probably feel.

EXACTLY RIGHT

and its off a grubber kick. do they expect hayne to just watch it bounce away and make it easier for goodwin to score

or try to get to the ball and save the try??

He probably should go after what happened to Cam Smith last year but there is almost no chance the NRL rub out their golden boy. Kingston might have a case to answer for the grapple still.

I am still mystified at cutie being let off for tripping. Anything could happen.

Watch the replay in real-time and there's nothing in it, just an unfortunate incident. The only time it begins to make Hayne look like Billy Slater is when people post still shots or highlight 2 or 3 frames in a slow-motion replay, where everyone is floating in space and Hayne has all the time in the world to leap up over Goodwin's head while uttering an apology at the same time.

Hopefully the judiciary aren't that stupid. You'd hope not!

Its funny how Cam Smiths supsension was met with delight on these boards.

The judiciary were all a fluter about suggestions of impartiallity last year.

If they dont suspend Hayne they are a joke.

ordinarily, i would say yes. accidental or not he led with the knees. however i have never believed that players should be suspended for grand finals, unless the charge is a very serious one.

surely it would make sense to allow a deferral of suspension. the fact that a grand final is treated as equal to a trial match for the purpose of suspensions does not make any sense.

If you watch both incidents the difference between Hayne and Gibbs is clearly intent. There is no change whatsoever to Hayne's natural running style as he tries to put his body into a position to knock Goodwinn over the sideline whereas you can clearly see Gibbs raise his knee, extend it forward and lead into Burt's back with it, all with no sideline nearby.

Hayne should and will get off.

That is because Smiths actions were a dirty deliberate act that he and his whole team had been warned of before.

Hayne was at worst careless.

Grade 1.

Let him play.

intent or no intent - malic or not malice..........HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT........end of the day - his knees hit the head of the opponent player - he slid IN WITH HIS KNEES - Hayne will lucky to be even cited - we know that but it doesn't justify it,,,,,,,,
