No dude. Every NFL player is an incomparable godlike athlete and no other athlete from any code ever could even think about competing with those Adonis'.

How many snaps do you think Hayne is going to get as an NFL player?

Must be a position for specialist divers.

Good luck to him. Has always been an arrogant wanker on the field with a teenage mentality but a pretty good bloke off it. Will definitely support him and hope he becomes a superstar over there. No idea what position he would play.

I doubt very much that he'll succeed. But it has nothing to with athleticism or talent, it'll be the fact that he's playing a sport that he's never played before against guys who have played it all their lives.

I'm not sure anyone is suggesting they are.

So can anyone remind me the difference between Sonny Bill and Hayne?

Hayne asked for a release, whereas SBW left in the middle of the night without telling anyone.

Where SBW jetted off to France without telling anyone he was going, Hayne told all the people that needed to be told, was granted a release then fronted an hour long press conference answering any and all questions about his decision. Yep, totally the same situation.

Correct.

I have no doubt that he won't make it, but not because of any physical weakness.

Hayne is a fine athlete. His skillset has been refined to play rugby league. Had he been a yank he would have likely been a pretty handy NFL player. Its just the top NFL athletes are really really good. I'd like to see how Haynes numbers compare with other NFL players.

I remember he run somewhere in the ball park of 11.30 over 100m at some race a few years ago. Obviously over shorter distances is more important but the NFL have guys who have gone sub 11 over that distance.

Hayne was picked for the Australian team yesterday and had time remaining on his contract. He's already been to the US to talk to possible clubs so obviously had planned this for a while.

Sonny makes a shitload of money in French rugby while working towards his goal of playing for the All Blacks in a World Cup on home soil.

Hayne will train solo for a year (no doubt his sponsors and all his endorsements will continue as there's rewards on offer for those companies) in the hope of earning shitloads.

All these guys (Hayne, SBW, Izzy, Hunt) are freaks and I bet at school we're playing cricket, basketball, footy as well as athletics and swimming but league came in with the $$$ first.
