So do I!!!I still have my Penfolds jerseys, I don't care they are not the sponsor now.
I remember the original slogan, which was something like "Penfolds and St. George. Two great red and white combinations".Ah Penfolds…another great red and white!
I agree with you on all points. What we do with Hunt will dictate what happens with the rest of the team in terms of bending the club over if they want out.If the Dragons are to release Hunt, it has to be on terms favourable for the club. Reason is if they just give way, it means anyone else currently at the club, or who signs in the future, will know that if a better offer comes up they can easily force their way out as the Board and officials are pushovers. That is the issue here for your club.
Someone up thread brought up SBW walking out on the Bulldogs. Yes it was, in my opinion, a dick move by him, but the Bulldogs did get something out of it as he had to buy out his whole contract (IIRC) not just a partial payment for the remainder of that season like Hunt supposedly has offered.
In the longer term, I think your club will probably be better off without him as he is not a long term halfback, and these days is better suited to hooker. Also it will give your club some good cap room to use for retention and recruitment.
“Both famous for their reds and their whites”; I thinkI remember the original slogan, which was something like "Penfolds and St. George. Two great red and white combinations".
He is gone effective now. Hasler is coach from 24Exaclty right.. Justin Holbrook is under a ton of pressure at the Titans.. if they miss the finals this year he could get the arse sooner rather than later.
Would be hilarious if Hunt lobbies for Griffin to take over and he gets the gig. The most satisfying ending of all
Yeah I jumped the gun there! Just saw the news. Good move by the Tits - appoint a coach before Hunt can get his mate in thereHe is gone effective now. Hasler is coach from 24
Fermor has resigned for 2 years and returning from ax ACL injury.taking this from reddit
Tannah Boyd & Fermor for Hunt? Dragons need starting 13s, they're lacking a quality edge/mobile big body player plus they need a solid 5/8th & boyd is more of a 5/8th than halfback imo plus he has legit utility value.
Both look pretty fit too which helps since we tend to gas out quickly in games. Is fermor injured for the entire season? As a dragons fan, I think this is more realistic than getting a mofo/tino etc. I'd be happy to settle for those two players.
It makes sense for the titans too, Boyd won't be a starting half if Hunt is in the team & I don't think he'll want to play reserves or off the bench after establishing himself in the top 13. Fermor is a good player but imo surplus to titans needs with Fifita already on lots of $ for a 2rf & you guys have young 2rf coming up.
It's the best win/win for all parties imo.

Not a bad deal, would love mofo instead of these two but don't think titans would let him go nor would he want to go. Fermor is a great player with a heap of potential, injured at the moment but gives us cover for su'a potentially leaving. Boyd is a solid starting 5/8th & utility.
Others I would do is if Cowboys are keen then I'd go for Luki. He's a future gun, nanai type player.
Smokey but I think Haas could be available if there's a legitimate shot the Broncos want Hunt & Hunt is willing to play 9 for them. They've already got Carrigan & Haas always has some sort of drama in Brissy. It might be worthwhile testing those waters & he may be willing to get out of the Brisbane footy bubble to live in the gong which is out of media spotlight (apart from the club doing basketcase things but i think it'll stop once flanno arrives). Plus I'd have no problems paying Haas 800k+ which imo is worth it for our team structure. We've got heaps of young/inexperienced spine players that need a good forward pack to sort of shield them.
Don't mind Toby as a back upFermor has resigned for 2 years and returning from ax ACL injury.
Toby Sexton is the half the Titans are looking at getting rid of.
They , the NRL , have certainly managed to have contracts almost meaningless. Too many players have been able to walk away from agreements or should I say contracts and unfortunately the trend will continue until the NRL has concrete regulations regarding a player / club contract . Far too much leeway is involved when a sneaky agent is involved always on the lookout for a few more dollars .Now we now why.
And the NRL will say they Hunt and his manager have no case to answer.
