You're not the only one, EA.

It happens to me all the time on pokerstars.

I'll deposit about $50, build it into a few hundred. Not through luck, but by my hands actually holding as often as they should when im in front.

And then all of a sudden, BOOM. I go on these ridiculous runs where i simply cannot win a race. No matter how far ahead i am pre flop.

Variance my arse. More back door action goes on during these runs than in a gay porno. Runner runner flush will crush me. Runner runner straight. Two pairs toppling AA and KK. Not every now and then. But literally relentlessly until the money is gone and pokerstars wins again when i have to deposit more money.

Whilst i wont use the word rigged, im convinced that there are complex algorithms at work designed to f**k you over.

So many times have I put a $50, go play 1/2 omaha turn it into 200-300 in an hour, then do stupid sh*t like 5/10 and lose it all. Too much of a degen for proper BR management these days.

Donked a $5 rebuy back in the day for about $2500, was nice.

there's so much tracking software around i reckon someone out there would be able to prove it if the sites were rigged.

100% if it was rigged someone somewhere would have realised. there is over 100k people on PS each time I log on.

Probably a ploy by the US government though to help conceal the truth about 9/11

I've never been to a poker forum without seeing plenty of threads claiming its rigged. I've never thought it was rigged, well, not in the way most of them seem to think it is.

It makes commerical sense to have software that thins the herd. The more tournaments they have, the more money they make.

Which would mean there are certain positions you should avoid. Unfortunately, most of those involve holding a big hand....

There are ways to get money without dipping into your pocket, but you have to start with small stuff.

There's an Aussie freeroll on at 7.30 each night which is pretty easy to cash in, but the cash starts at 15 cents. (Get to 8k or so and you can coast into the dough).

It's under;

Tourneys - Regional

There's also an ANZ poker League freeroll in the same area at 7.15, it's free to enter but you can re-buy. It is harder to cash in than the Aussie freeroll.

The Astronomer freerolls are another way, but more convoluted. You win a ticket to a second round (there are two per week)which is at awful hours. 1am Sunday and 6am Monday.

I have 74 tickets but I can only really play on long weekends.

If you do it that way I recommend you learn how to play Badugi. 1/2 of my tickets have come from Badugi freerolls.

If you can get $1 or so up through the Aussie etc, there are really weak 10 cent 360's you can play. But you need luck in them because those pricks will call with anything.

Missed this, haven't been on the forum for a while. Got a free $50 from pokerstrategy.com, and have been breaking even with this. Put on a deposit yesterday, the moneys been taken out of my account, but isn't in my full tilt account? How long does this normally take?

Tonight's ANZ re-buy, just for a laugh I thought I'd take a pic of the hands I lost with a big lead and f**k all outs to the opponent.

Bear in mind that I'm tight aggressive 90% of the time and the MO is to watch first, pick out the weak links then tie them to a flagpole.

I just can't seem to get past the bad beats.

Dealt AA at SB, BB goes all in with a short stack, I raise all in with my deep stack, called by UTG.

Hands are revealed, SB has J9, UTG 27 (wtf?)

Flop is 2A5, and I'm sitting pretty. BB is no threat, UTG's pair isn't bothering me because even if they get a full house I'll have a higher one, so feeling pretty confident.

Turn is 2, there's my full house beating their trip 2's.

UTG has only one out, I have pretty much the rest of the deck. The river couldn't be a 2, could it?

It could. f**k.

AA beaten by 27. Who the f**k calls all in with 27?

Gotta say Pstars is the only place I play - and I work for 888.

Anyone up for a home game on Pstars one night? PM me if you are and we should see if we can get a few interested.

Your one outer bad beats make me feel better about my 2 and 3 outers.

UTG called with 2/7?

FMD..

Do you use anything like officialpokerrankings.com?

You have to join but it costs nothing and it gives you a decent snapshot of a players tournament stats almost instantly. ROI, ITM etc.
