I got bored of my Chargers franchise - i started wasting everyone by 50.

I took Green Bay - need some rebuilding soon, and i might get the chance to play in snow. Would you believe it, game 1 i lose Brett Favre for the rest of the season - and get beaten 26-20 by the Lions.

On the upside, a few weeks later i threw an interception with Aaron Rodgers, and he smashed the corner returning the pick for a fumble. Hilarious

I like that kid Rodgers.

Young and talented - the perfect Franchise QB. You can easily build him up.

 Damn.

I always hate losing the 'Bowl - my fans are so fickle that I can in it three years in a row, but the moment I don't make it or I lose it...The attendance drops to about 50%!

My Packers are 7-2.

My second loss was a 38-14 arse kicking by the then winless Saints. Since then i've edged the Vikings, Steelers and Falcons, and won a really low quality game against the Bengals - that was the game with the Rodgers forced fumble.

lol.... 2nd year after getting the bad news bears to the superbowl, i changed ownership to the texans, traded david carr to the packers for their first round draft pick, also traded dominick davis to the vikings for rnd 1 round 3 draft pick

i had 7 draft picks in the first 3 rounds, got an 84 overall qb, an 85 halfback, an 80 center and fixed up my line a bit, so yeah, the texans arent all that bad now :)

I haven't played it for a while...

But I was cheering when I managed to get my favourite player (Daunte Culpepper) by trading for Moss...

Why? Well, I had Johnson and Owens as back-ups lol.

I started up my first superstar yesterday, and scored 90% on my IQ test. Tbh I'm thinking of quitting now while I'm ahead.

Hi guys.

I have recently felt the need for an NFL game.

I use to have Madden 2004 and loved it VERY VERY much, but traded in for NFL 2K5 which I have not had as much fun with.

One thing I loved about Madden 2004 was all the stats it kept of your, and your friends profiles.

So now I have the questions of:

1. Should I get Madden 2004 or 2006?
2. How much has gameplay changed since 2004?
3. Does 2006 have a similar profile system with the stats etc..?

2006 is by far the best madden, nfl2k5 is still the best looking game and imo is my favorite football sim but madden 06 is incredible..i play online quite a bit and the cheesers no longer dominate..you have to read the defense in order to win.

Vision cone has solved alot of problems and finally makes every qb feel different.

I played a few matches today of ESPN, learnt all the controls again, and im starting to think I may not need to buy a Madden again.

Things im looking for in my games now are ones with good stats (Madden 2004) and a Career mode (Like FIFA 2004's).

Also could anyone link me to a good article on what Superstar mode is ? I was looking at pics of Madden 2006 and Superstar mode looks interesting.

EDIT: Also can you turn the QB vision thing off to make it like all the other NFL games?

I don't find it does. I never throw to a reciever without looking where they are on the field - i'm using my eyes like the cone represts without driving myself nuts twiddling the right stick.

I don't have a link for ya...

Essentially, Superstar mode sees you create a superstar based on your parent's attributes. You give him a position, name him, tell him which college he came from, give him his height and weight and all that.

Once that has happened, you get drafted into a random NFL team, and your job is to play well enough to get noticed so you can get lots of interviews, movie offers, endorsements and better agents.

I just recently for the first time past the first season - I made a short RB, who won all the RB Awards, including the NFL's MVP and NFL Rookie of the Year.

Now, he has like 4 endorsements and has moved from an apartment into a loft. His character traits, such as marketability, popularity and co., have sky-rocketed as a result of all the awards and winning the Super Bowl.

It's OK, but soon gets tiresome, really.

Thats not really realistic, I think the point he was making is that in real life a QB doesnt watch from a screen which shows the whole field, so in order to replicate the challenge they face, you can only accurately throw to what your QB can see.

Its a real challenge, and I still havent mastered it (despite being in 2010 in my franchise and having 2 superbowl victories).

True, but if we were going to get really realistic we would play from a ground level view.
