The only chance we will have to get Carney is if ASADA cripple Cronulla and then we throw a bucket load of cash at him. I don't want us to pay too much over what he's worth but know any good player we get is paid more by us than in Australia

In fairness to Thomas I thought he was reasonable last start I do see him being of value off the bench and with his general leadership. Carlos definitely seems a little robotic and slow but in a badly beaten team last year his line break count and try assist count I thought showed promise. Aside from Maloney and Johnson he would easily be the best ball runner out of the lot.

Have read rumours on another forum that we signed Carney yesterday, Bell & Scurrah are in Sydney to do the deal, although also Mateo may be gone as his wife is pregnant and they want to return to Sydney, note this is rumour only.

The word I have on Feleti is its the term of the contract with the Warriors that they haven't settled on, but he is very keen to stay. The only hold up on Carney is he wants an out clause at Cronulla if the big players get suspended. Both want to stay at their respective clubs and are actively negotiating to stay.
