I’m in a prediction mood.. We don’t see Staines all year… I know I know.. but I thought it so I’d better say it just in case

I think we’ll be forced into seeing him.

Because half of the first page of his resume reads

Played for the panthers (before 2025).

As it is:

We are actually higher on the ladder than they are atm.

Well, last week and this week, Staines has been named for the FB role and Mason in the halves in the cup team, so I think the Mason at FB era, might be over.
Well over by design anyway.

When the injuries hit, he might get another opportunity mid season or so.

Lots to work on along with Feledy

Charlie seems to be a better option at present, with strict instructions to catch and hold the ball. He would be very excited to get into firsts.

Plus he’s used smug.

This will be a tough game, 6 day turn around with travel after playing in 37 degrees.

The Fins have been very ordinary for mine, the packs been plod and Katoa average. This is now their first home game though and I expect they'll be primed. The back 5 all have points in them and Doeuihi marking Farnworth is a worry.

Looking at the teams I do believe we look stronger and hopefully sunday helped kickstart our attack. Its gone unmentioned but we currently have the best defence in the comp which is a new feeling. I know its only 2 games in but its something Id love to see continue. If Bula plays and we've recovered from sundays conditions we should win this. We have a pretty nice draw to start the year and these are types of games we need to win if we're going to be serious about contending for the finals.

Yes, a worry but hopefully our youthful team will overcome the last game issues about heat.

Perhaps Api might suffer a bit, but TDS has been Ok in his stints.

I think our roster rotation will need to be spot on though.

This game has such an ominous feel about it. Dolphins have been poor and struggling to score points. Exact sort of game we seem to lose every year. It would be so disappointing to be 1 win from 3 games.

Red for Go!

We only played at 70-75% last week.

I really liked the eyes up and agility in the attack and most of the defensive posture, although the score flattered us a bit.

We have a pretty mobile side and in theory, every time we play, we should get fitter.

They will test us out early, we will arrest the attack, and respond in our own time.

I think the game plan was ok last week and we can apply it again.

We showed spells of resilience, which we know has been few and far between for time immemorial.

I think it’s a good opponent to have at the moment in the building phase.

If we are not up for it mentally, then we have troubles. We will miss Bula.

But we need safety at the back, we have strike all over the park otherwise.

And doogie, I loved that inside kick at full pelt. That’s him at extreme threat level.
Great eyes up footy, well executed. Not perfect, but close enough. Not many players can do that.

Benji says he wants more creativity from the side.

If we bring the same attitude, we should manage 12+

Yeh AD has been doing ok after coming back from 3 recos.
My back surgeon says redoing old ligament/muscle tears are bad because of all the scar tissue and the rehab can take longer.
Then he did it again and again. Remember these tears weren't because he was unfit like some people reinjure hammys or quads simply because of body shape and not having muscle mass or fitness. Accidents happen more often than not with knee injuries no matter how fit one is. Usually because of the twisting effect caused of sudden redirection or deceleration.
After 3 recos I think most players would opt for medical retirement, but not Adam.
He pushed through lonely rehab sessions because of his hunger to compete and he also loves the Tigers...where he started his career.
In his first game back he proved the doubters wrong by sprinting away from another quick player to score a length of the field try.
You can't do that if you haven't put in the hard yards over the off season.
His goal kicking is very good with Api our backup.
His defense is improving and maybe, as our teams gels even further, the centres of AD and To'a will be our regular pairing.
Having Taruva and Skelton outside them will put less pressure on them too.
AD in the past has tried to do a bit too much in attack by himself but now he has a player he must set up and support on the inside.

Naden will put pressure on Toa & AD as he is no worse & offers more in attack albeit can be a bumbling buffoon re his penchant for making stupid errors.

All I know is that a fit and willing AD is a strike player

He has some authentic playmaker in him and can kick in play.

I’m not arguing he up with JL in ability, but he has that glimmer of light in attack as well.

AD is a big lad and has a good body swerve. I've never given up on him.
In fact if we do it's a little bit disrespectful to the guy.
Players like him, Alex Twal and big red were all victims of a club imploding.
Yes he has said some dumb things and has played some shockers but he's dug in.
I think they're a few, not many, ŵho deserve some good fortune like us poor wayfaring supporters.
Footy is like eating an ice cream. You want one when it's a stinker and feel like a treat. But on a hot day most of it end up in a runny mess.
All great teams, even Penrith will fall from grace and have to rebuild somewhat.
Top teams have the secret ingredients, money, a stigma surrounding their clubs name as a successful one and shrewd operators who have been around and know how to navigate around the ruthless conniving managers who are hellbent in bringing the game into disrepute by their back alley dealings.....and clubs CEOs.
So from that list of credentials how have we fared before Richo arrived?
I would dare to say that we didn't do anything to give marquee players confidence in joining us.
We asked like novices, fools, directionless puppets.
Richo knows a lot of players when they were kids, like Jarome.
I think he's the most influential person to be associated with the Tigers since Laurie Nichols ;)

I've hired a wheel chair and have a reserved area booked for the Dolphins game so I'll try to send some pics. My missus is going to take me but she hates the game. Arrrggghh, she luvs me, golly gosh mushy mushy stuff ;)

It’s quite a different experience having authentic discussions about team selections!

I could get used to it!
Just like I'm getting used to your constant avatar changes my brother.
I bet your room has wall to wall posters of your favourite players all over it whilst your son's room is neat and tidy :)
