The annoyance is in the fact we've tossed away 4 points.

Yes we can be proud of efforts and style this year, but there comes a point where we need to wish for more and it's important to keep striving for that and not accepting a good effort each week.

AOB has mentioned this every single post-game conference too. We need to be demanding more than just a good effort.

No doubt we're miles ahead of last year though, maybe last 3 years..

I personally don't care if we win or lose because we have improved drastically compared to seasons before. If we keep up this trajectory we will be a top side in a season or two anyway.

This game I hope we start Ponga and really blow out of the blocks from kick off. I've been a big supporter of both Saifitis for a long time but I think it's time we see Origin Saifiti week in week out. Both need to step up!

so all it took was two narrow losses against 2022 top four sides to start to look for negatives. Yes we were off against the Cows but it is the toughest road trip in the game physically. I am stoked where we are at. You cannot even come close to any of these performances last season.

I don’t have an issue with losing if we’re outclassed but we lost the last two games due to poor completions and poor line speed.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m stoked at how far we’ve come in such a short period of time, but frustrating to know we could have been up the top but rather we’re now struggling to keep in touch with the top 8 due to shooting ourselves in the foot.

Credit to AOB, he doesn't make excuses for them like last year and there's an emphasis on the result not just effort. It's refreshing to see.

And that is the long hard road out of hell. This competition speaks for itself. Just being a tiny bit off is no longer enough. Doesn’t mean the wheels are about to fall off either.

Parra’s season has mirrored ours so far in terms of results and performances, except they have played a lot of the heavyweights.

I think you all forgot this one.

Random reserve grader makes debut against Knights, scores a try, wins the game for the Eels , gets talked up for a few weeks then goes to super league and is never heard from again.

I know we're all thinking it. We probably play the Eels into form here, end up 3-1-5 after today, and all the seemingly good work in the off season will feel like it was for very little gain.

What i'd actually love to see happen is Kalyn have a big game, though. He's played so little football in the past 18 months... and it's a real shame because since his (brief) return last year after the cubicle incident I've felt a lot more purpose in the way he's gone about his business on and off the field.

A win tonight followed with a bye, chance for players to refresh, fix niggling injuries, return of Elliott and renewed confidence, Ponga getting better.
Adds up to possible top 8, loss is likely bottom 4.
Is a huge game

RCG out is one thing but no Bailey Simonsson for the Eels. Will they even bother showing up?

If both Saifitis play super well tonight, maybe they get both bench spots for Origin? Isn't that motivation enough?
