We'll possibly finish 2 points outside the 8.
If that's not an improvement on the crap that was dished up in the Price era, I don't know what is?
The team definitely showed improvement but I don't know if that was due to Price going or MacGregor coming in.

"Not as bad as price."
"At least we're not boring anymore. "

This is the criteria the club have stooped to apparently. What a truly dark place we are in.

It's not nonsense, look at the calibre of teams we beat, who was understrength and look who we beat out of the top8 sides, bugger all.You can be happy with mediocrity but don't try spinning the crap that we have been better under Mary.We are still 11th and it is a reflection where we are at in the comp,as they say the table doesn't lie.
And if it enjoyable watching teams score soft tries against us ,then it's a wonder we have a difference of opinion.

Midnight oil sang a song about short memory... Have you got one mate? Honestly, did you watch us play under price? Two and a half years of shit. Call it mediocrity or call it Jamaica. The price years were a moon at a nun. f**k I'm stoked we are playing well and you still cry we are not the elite? What do you expect after half a year post moon hole? Let's keep it real here and maybe go out and play a game of footy in
The backyard...

I call improving beating top teams and not conceding soft tries regularly.Don't give a crap about the Price era anymore, but seeing similar crap such as curious positional changes and soft defence doesn't excite me pal.
Sure we have been playing with spirit which you expect with a new coach coming in ,and Benji has been getting better contributing with many of our scoring opportunities, but we need changes in the squad or we will still be an also ran team which doesn't sit well with me.

Price
Win ratio 40%
1. Tigers, W
2. Warr, W
3. Sharks, W
4. Broncs, L
5. Rabbits, L
6. Storm, L
7. Warr, W
8. Roost, L
9. Bulld, L
10. Eels, L
11. Bye
Mary
Win ratio 53.846%

12. Rabbits, L
13. Sharks, W
14. Pen, L
15. Storm, W
16. Titans, W
17. Cowboys, W
18. Bye
19. Manly, L
20. Tigers, W
21. Roost, L
22. Pen, L
23. Raiders, W
24. Titans W
25. Broncs, L
26. Newc?

Even if we lose this week, Mary will still have a better win ratio of 50%. Still, he has just taken over the worst coach in our history. Do we make the 8 winning 50% of our games?

Mediocre rocks.

I want to know what these two sentences mean.
Jamaica? Moon at a nun?
Explanations please.

It's been stated many times that the Dragons fans are the most demanding of success. It's that 11 in a row ( which I think is sometimes a burden on where we are now, far too many old boys, and living in the past, backward board and leagues club)
Setting aside the on field performance, the biggest issue for me is almost complete loss of faith with the current board and CEO to really turn this great club, into a modern club in structure, marketing and thinking. We can't keep fluke signings and for me 2015 is litmus test, we have half a dozen guys who could be moved on, but who will the club replace?
The whole junior development and talent recruitment needs to be reviewed. We need buy talent to slot in now and stop the constant buying of fringe player policy over the last 3 years..

Most of us are thinking the same.

Unfortunately, we don't have a Russell crowe type(not tinkler), who could help drag the football club, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century.

If some legends then want nothing to do with the club, like pigging with souths, then so be it!

I think the first half today has given us an insight into the next 3 years...to my mind nothing has changed in the coaching skills, management skills or players attitude over the last 3 years, and we are in for another long period of frustration and under achievement. The players had every thing to play for today...pride, new coach, setting a platform for the next season...and thay have failed miserably...the second half is irrelevant even if there is a comenback

How a rookie coach that has little better than 50% win record get a 3 year deal is a disgrace.
There has been nothing to suggest that we can compete against the big teams week in week out.
I doubt McGregor is even capable of attracting the type of player we need in order to become competitive next season either...

Sadly, I think you may be right.
I hope not :(

I believe those are happy about McGregor signing forfeit all rights to complain about our performances over the next 3 years.

As others have alluded too, our club needs to be bought into the 21st Century.

As great as our history is, the way the club was run back in those days is not the way you run the club now. Our history is without doubt our biggest burden! We are becoming like Souths were before Crowe took over. Even they are still somewhat burdened by the past!

We should be having similar success to what the likes of the Roosters and Sea Eagles enjoy currently i.e. pushing for the top places on the table and in contention the Grand Final every year! We were promised a super club back when the joint venture came to fruition in 1999. Only two Grand Final appearances since that time. Absolute joke!

Look at the Knights U20's today. As much as Bennett may be leaving, at least their junior system is flourishing and Rick Stone at least has some hope of moving the club forward, and he will. That's before you look at how their top squad finished the season today. Expect the Knights as a club to be one of the big movers in 2015. As for us, well we are in contention for the scraps which the Knights don't want. Absolute joke x 2!!!

Sorry is anyone gets annoyed, but this statement is true.
A RASH decision by a DESPERATE board with no concept of due diligence.
I dont give a rats if today game was irrelevant to the 8.
17 blokes out in the Red V, looking like mad Monday was already there.
There were a few exceptions whom showed a little urgency, but as a team we
a sham.
Shameful, gutless and unworthy of donning this jersey.

Tru don't be to critical or people will be angry at you.

Your right coast... :D
I have to pull my head in a bit.
Otherwise I will have to be battered from pillar to post from those whom believe the decision was a right one.
Shame on me. ;-)

Show some heart ffs!!!!

This..............

Did any forum member see Joel and Gaz screaming to the team towards to end of the game.
I Believe it was to pack a scrum.

They strolled up as if nothing matters.

Pride = a 5 letter word for us.

Jeebus you boys, I know it was a tough day, but get off your soapboxes.

If McGregor fails he wont be there for 3yrs, youd have the same complaints if we'd ended up with Sheens who was our likely next option after we failed to land Bennett.

Try to keep an open mind for 2015, and stop death-riding the squad.
