Brett Stewart received a 4 week ban and Manly were fined $100k by the NRL for drunken and disorderly conduct a few years back, This was simply because he was out, got drunk and got into trouble.

The precedent has been set with Stewart.

Stupid example & no precedent has been set.

Stewart wasnt drunk & wasnt disorderly according to the police testimony at trial.

The NRL response was in no way based on the facts that were later established at the trial.

If you remember the event, the Stewart ban was handed out within a week of his incident occurring. The trial was months later down the track. At the time, the implication was that he had been drinking and had acted up. He was then banned. Much later down the track he was found not guilty of all of the above.

So everyone agrees the punishment handed out to Brett Stewart was wrong and over the top, right?
So why would you want Pearce to receive the same?
I don't get some of the people on here.
As some people on here have said, he could be fined for being a dickhead, but thats it. Anything else would be wrong and over the top, like Brett Stewarts punishment was.
It wont be double standards if the punishment is less than Stewarts, it will be learning from their mistakes and making the punishment fit the crime.

but this is pearce so its a different story. with pearce and possibility of him missing origin any skankiness is ignored

the only issue with this night out is pearce got kicked out of a couple of clubs and arrested for arguing with police. i reckon he'll get fined and "stood down" for 1 match which will enable him to play origin.
