I have never seen a topic like this... no seriously this has to be the first topic of this nature.

In all seriousness though, i loved the bears.. still have shoe boxes full of pictures and posters aswell as a few jerseys. One day i hope they get back into the comp but not at the expense of another team.

Neither Saints nor Illawarra went to the "lets subscribe to Foxtel" cup.
Which is more than I can say for a few other teams.
And is it just me or do the supporters of teams that didn't sell their soul to News Ltd seem to be of a higher caliber of posting standard?

Anyway, the Bears being back wouldn't be a bad thing BUT they can't come back and do what Souths did for the first few years of their re-entry, and that was to ignore the lessons they SHOULD have been learning in their 2 year exclusion from the competition, in the end lines like "oh but we are meant to be the battlers who run near to last every year!" were sounding as empty as the coffers at the club.
The Bears would need to have a similar goal for themselves that Rusty has for South Sydney, to be self sufficient from him in a time frame not too far away.
That is HIS goal for a club that has made the finals once since the 1980's, Melbourne (and hind sight is 20/20 here so lets try to ignore the sh*tfight) cracked it for 4 successful years that other clubs would have rorted the cap to achieve ( like I said, 20/20) and STILL could not reach financial independence.
If the Bears are back, they need a backer for a few years while they move towards a 10 year goal of financial independence that stems from a leagues club, good marketing, good facilities and a smattering of investments (ala Parramatta).

Financial backing is the least of the problems for the CC Bears - which will be a powerful club in the NRL. Already the Bears have secured sponsorpships that put most current NRL clubs to shame.

If therew as another criteria, a genuine one, run today - CC Bears would be Top 3.

You're a well balanced individual.
Delighted I affect your tiny mind.

As opposed to your tiny dick eh, Ronny. I'm surprised you find time to surf a League site, what with your male porn addiction.

There was a point?
Could have fooled me.

Simo, once upon a time you had credibility...............
No, scratch that, you never had credibility, BUT there was a time when perhaps not everyone here looked at you with the utter contempt reserved for a nutcase who has kicked down the door to the asylum, sh*t in his own hand, rubbed that sh*t all over his body and now parades around town with a "the end is nigh" sign hanging from his neck.

It seems as if you took the Storms self created salary cap driven implosion as a great opportunity to concurrently smoke ammonia cut crack and marijuana simultaneously as since that event you have become an absolute jabbering f**kwit who's complete and baseless bullsh*t knows no bounds.

At first you were just talking sh*t, now you are borderline paranoid delusional.

Get help, for f**ks sake.

haha.. thats pretty funny little spill there..

How do Illawarra Steeler fans feel about what StGeorge have done to there club?
I can see how you would support Manly seeing the likeness between what your club has done the to the Steelers as what Manly did to the Bears..

Thats Sydney SCUM at its height right there.

These guys in charge of running this club... Cant seem to get it right. They arnt even using the full amount of the salary cap because they cant afford the full amount!

NRL looks set to lose more big name players to union over the next few years at a time when league needs to keep this guys right here.

Salary cap is low, because clubs like the Sharks cant run there front office right. 15 other clubs have to suffer because these jokers didnt take the time to read Finance for Dummies.

No better motivation for a club then to be told. Get it right by 3 years. Or your gone.

Cull them. Bring in WA Reds.

I hate the scum with a passion. But you're a Storm supporter, so your opinion doesn't count.

Yeah Melbourne have been 6million dollars in the red every year, and stole money from the company that owned them to rort the cap. They wouldn't have a leg to stand on if they weren't owned by News Ltd.
