I’m not against the stadium revamp, but the club should be footing the bill for it, not the tax payers.
It’s not a revamp it is a new purpose stadium all seater catering up to 30,000 spectators. Western Sydney needs it, deserves it and will pay for itself long term assuming it caters for events other than just rugby league.

Meanwhile kids living in the Nepean region can learn in demountables without air conditioning, and if you need open heart surgery you can be sirened off to Westmead as Nepean Hospital can’t cater for you…

Heart surgery has always been done at Westmead.

Yes, “but schools and hospitals” which are more important than sports stadiums.

I’m aghast that we’re now living in a society which considers the latter of more importance.

Still, “Howard’s battlers” and all….

needs more events but there would be events out there that go elsewhere. I am sure it will get used a minimum of 20 times a year

With Bankwest, the new Sydney one and now Panthers that's 3 modern stadiums for the city. You could start bidding for soccer/rugby world cups or some international events of some kind.

A summer concert at a stadium in Penrith would be a horrific experience.

The area isn't suited to all year round outdoor events.

Previous plans for the new stadium allowed for large concerts and the like with state of the art flooring to ensure the football surface wouldn’t be compromised.

You have a terrorist organisation in your profile pic bro. Not sure I'll listen to your thoughts on politics

It would take a Loyalist to refer to Sinn Féin as a “Terrorist organisation” similarly as much as it would take a pro-apartheid white supremacist to refer to the ANC as one too.

Unless of course you’re completely clueless in regards to Irish Politics of course
