This is thing about kiwi fans- they want winners! If they performed like that the previous week it would have sold out twice.
The Warriors sold that stadium out a week before kick off.. why? They were winning!
I've said it before but we need the kiwis to win consistently for 10 years.
But besides that, the NRL is the brand people want to see , like the NBA...
Even if Australia beat the USA people would still prefer to go to a Lakers game.

Aussies would prefer to go to a random Lakers game, then see the Boomers beat the USA at the Olympics or World Champs?

Are you high?

Perth fans bagging mz now as well as png

wow this is so salty
Aren't you the one, who wants to f**k off the Warriors? By adding a new team.

"Thanks for all your sacrifice during COVID, here's a new team to wreck your shit"

The Lakers will always be a bigger brand than the Boomers
That crowd was hugely disappointing, stop deflecting.

Maybe League isn't as big as your fake trips to NZ suggest, and the Warriors need some clean air to truly establish themselves.

A team in Wellington or Christchurch isn't going to take anything away from the Warriors, it'll only ad a rivalry that will inspire more avid support.
A second team in NZ will only grow awareness and relevance of the NRL growing the Warriors brand.

The Broncos has a new team dropped into the same city and all it did was deepen their supporter base.

The Broncos is a city of 2.5M were RL is the Number 1 sport.

There isn't any comparable city in population or the sports popularity in NZ.

You should know, you've fake visited it many times

No defections from me pal. If you look at one of my previous posts where I put a link to an article detailing the 13k crowd disappointment.
It was obviously some poor marketing or pricing that contributed but the Kiwi players , media here and anyone you talk to will say more games and performances like that and you'll see a dramatic increase in attendance.
It'll take time but with the increasing talent pool of quality kiwis in the game will ensure we see more performances like that, more demand for internationals and bigger audiences.
You've just witnessed the start, so enjoy Watching this grow.

Just kidding, you just outed yourself as a union troll so I'm sure you're not going to enjoy it at all.

That couldn't be any less relevant to the point I was making.

How many of the current Kiwis actually play in that 1 club though? Hopefully a second club gives them another option
CNK? I think that's it. Then there's a few Warriors in the PI teams, a couple who are "unavailable" and one who is injured and may or may not be a Kiwi next year.

The year the phins got added

broncos membership up to 40k
Phins year one members approx 30k

derby crowds vs Brisbane titans and cowboys all were massive

it caused a boom in rugby league in qld

a nz derby would be massive

more junior pathways to produce players the likes of which just thumped the Roos

pretty funny seeing one of the kiwi stars is a north qld cowboy

even far north qld relies on kiwi players
