I'm only right when I am. So far you haven't been right about anything.

Again, you make assumptions based on fact. France Japan will always pay for quality players, so any influx for ex English players won't make a difference to them wanting NZ players.
Oh well. Maintain the rage. Must be tough being so full of relentless negative self righteousness.

Having a blast but also enjoying a chill back at the hotel tapping into this bit of fun 🤘

You think you're struggling to have a rational discussion? This is the type of response we have to deal with constantly. There's no substance. There's no actual refutation of any points made, no response to questions asked, just ranting about how much money might come and an accusation that I know nothing about the NRL despite the fact I'm posting on an NRL forum.
Pfft

why don’t you answer some simple questions for once like, here’s an easy one

given the decline in super rugby and the rise in the nrl what impact that has on rugby union in nz over the next ten years ?

Reading you know whose posts a line of pure Columbian marching powder might make them a bit easier to take. Heck they might even start making sense

you literally avoided the mess in Mexico by days bro

you should be trying for the lottery with your luck

And yet you haven't manage to refute a single point. No comment on Junior numbers, on pathways. on coaching. On the pillaging of NZ stocks, rather, " Must be tough being so full of relentless negative self righteousness."

So now, instead of answering my questions you want me to answer your question?

Here's my answer, there will be little impact as you're starting from incorrect base assumptions - Super rugby isn't in as bad shape as you think, Super rugby isn't the driver of rugby in NZ, rugby is culturally ingrained in NZ and dominates at domestic and schools level, and league is a perilous state in NZ currently.

I'll await your answers for these:
- How is the NRL going to convert rugby playing schools to league playing schools?
- What type of domestic competition is the NRL going to set up in NZ to keep the interest of people in the provinces?
- How is the NRL going to grow the international game so that NZers have an alternative to the ABs?

It's not that I hate Union.
It's like that first sip of Coke that you realised you got diet coke kinda thing.

If all there was, was diet Coke I'd probably kinda enjoy it 🤷‍♂️

But it like that first sip expecting real Coke, then getting diet Coke. In that moment you hate it..

Union is like diet Coke without the weight loss . Compared to real Coke ( Rugby league)
I hate it 🤷‍♂️
Ok take that, aside from the last line, flip it, and then that is how the majority of NZers feel. Now, do you honestly think that an extra NRL team is going to change their opinion?

Ok ... I was in Mexico city, so not near there.
It was still wild! The police have machine guns but you get used to it.
What was unsettling was in a Burger king, it must have been time for the armoured truck to collect the til. Three guys come into the Burger king with Shotguns, belts with shells and bullet proof vests.. 1 stood ready at the door while the others got the til..
Crazy security for Burger king!

League will have its own pathways independent of schools. They have already increased funding to do this and are planning a National under 20s competition

they don’t need a semi professional comp to advance. They already tried it with the barter card cup

the next World Cup after France (2029) is in New Zealand and the pacific islands. Something they will never happen in union

the arlc is bringing in an end of season international tournament involving tonga samoa Australia nz

indeed samoa and tonga are pushing to play home internationals this year

for further evidence of the growth of int rl look at samoa and tonga in the last World Cup and their reception back home in their islands

See this is just evidence that you're trolling as you're not even willing to undertake a basic thought experiment that is contrary to your beliefs.
You know whats funny

the rule changes for rugby league came about from the bosses of the northern union watching the 1905 all blacks play

these rules changes were discussed by the rfu before the split and rejected

the essence of rugby league came about from the way the all blacks like to play

"pathways independent of schools". How is that going to happen when there aren't many clubs left to play in? No clubs no schools, but magical pathways.... righto.

Kids are abandoning Contact team sports through all age groups, but without clubs or schools they will magically appear. *facepalm*

The pathways will not dent rugby if they don't have an influence in schools. The mana in NZ is via 1st XV rugby.

Yes they need a domestic competition. Two NRL teams in the country aren't going to pull supporters away from the ABs, the Chiefs, and Waikato.

If the ARLC succeeds in holding ongoing international competitions I'll be both very surprised and happy. But Australia's Origin focus always puts that in danger so I'm really not holding my breath.

In particular, the commission is focused on innovative measures to enhance the pathways systems and it’s something our clubs are focused on as well.”

Drawing promising rugby union players from New Zealand will not have the same inflationary effect as the Dolphins’ recruiting drive in the NRL, where $400,000 salaried players courted by the expansion club will soon be paid $600,000.
