he knows Brisbane won't be team 18 (Broncos, Titans, Dolphins don't want it) so he's taking his frustrations out on PerthNZ2 thread
I mean seriously you just keep regurgitating your exact same opinions, and they are just your opinions, in every thread. Yeh we get it, you dont want to see a perth team in the NRL. How about keep that opinion sharing in the West coast thread?
NZ2 thread
Already have, plenty of times:How about you write a post about the benefits of NZ2?
Every reference you've made to it has been about its flaws.
I know what game you're playing.
There you go again acting as if your crazy assumptions are "facts".he knows Brisbane won't be team 18 (Broncos, Titans, Dolphins don't want it) so he's taking his frustrations out on Perth

People like you said there would never be a second Brisbane team because of self-interest from the Broncos and News Ltd.
Titans opposed Brisbane 2.
We still got Brisbane 2. People like you now have to eat humble pie because you were wrong.
People like you cannot accept that your insane desire for expansion into fumbleball cities isn't shared by the game's stakeholders.

Id have NZ2 as team 19 or 20 depending on if Perth is team 18 or 19, if they can put a strong bid together.
I want NZ2 in, but they have a lot of work to do. They dont currently have any semblance of a bidding team beyond the interest of some amateur clubs in Canterbury who sounded pretty clueless about how they'd run an NRl club. You couldn't help but place Perth ahead of NZ2.
Why are you talking about Perth?
It's a NZ2 thread.
In what universe would Perth be ahead of NZ2?
Abdo spoke about NZ2 as a good candidate for the 18th licence. The game is investing in the Pacific. That would suggest now is the right time for NZ2. Either as the 18th or 19th licence.

Perth 18
NZ2 19
Adelaide Bears 20
or if Albo gets his way
PNG 18
Perth 19
NZ2 20

Apart from not having multi millionaire bidding team, in fact having no bidding team, and not having a State govt willing to back it? yeh apart from that they are similar lolThe NZ2 bid isn't much worse than the one from Perth.
Both bids lack the infrastructure that's needed to warrant an NRL licence.

Christchurch is getting their stadium and will be ready for 2028 and beyond.
A new team wont be coming in until 2028 or possibly even 2030+ plus for either of these options. Both locations have ample time to build. But NZ2 does need a bidding team that can give NRL confidence they have the financial clout to make it work. Without that there will never be a NZ2 club.
*yawn*... for the hundredth time I never said there would never be a 2nd Brisbane team. You need to stop lying, are you trying to impress someone else on the forum or something? There you go again acting as if your crazy assumptions are "facts".

'The only thing Perth has over NZ2 is support from a few businessmen (and backing of a cahsed up state govt).' yeh thats all lolThe only thing Perth has over NZ2 is support from a few businessmen. We don't know how much money these businessmen are willing to invest in a Perth-based team.
Christchurch will have a superior stadium by 2028. Its superior facilities will help it generate revenue from corporate hospitality.
WA Gov haven't invested in the infrastructure that an NRL team will need to be successful in a parochial fumbleball market.

no we dont, so stop making statements like they are fact. Likewise you have zero clue what the WA govt is offering in support of a Perth club admission. If those 2 things stack up likely perth will be club 18 or 19. If they dont they wont, and thats fair enough.
Christchurch stadium will be awesome and probably the biggest thing they have going for them. But that doesnt mean anything if they dont have some financial clout backing a bid, in fact if they dont have anyone interested in bidding, which is the case at the moment. They will have one of best stadiums in NRL and access to a good jnr pool to develop. But they need to give NRL financial security or they wont be entertained.
you've said numerous times that the ARLC aren't considering a Perth team, now you say they are?You and your mates change your tune to suit your agenda.
"News Ltd won't allow a second Brisbane team!"
News Ltd paid $20m per annum for the Dolphins.
"News Ltd won't allow a third Brisbane team!"
There's already talk about a third team. The other day V'landys said Brisbane and Perth are still in the frame for the 19th and 20th licences during an interview about PNG. It looks like PNG is rusted on as the 18th team.
I am thrilled for PNG to get the licence. Papuans love the game more than anyone else. An NRL team will do wonders for the international game.
New Zealand might have businessmen working behind the scenes. Perth could be working behind the scenes, too. I am far from convinced a Perth team will have the backing of the other 17 NRL clubs, QRL and NSWRL. It definitely won't have any support from Ch9. Money talks and V'landys is desperate for more money from the next broadcast deal.
Yeh you your two mates on here will be the quantum of the supporters clubLiterally every thread donkey wants to talk about perth lol. we are so living in his head
Good moveGetting this thread back on track, the Warriors have today announced a deal to take 1 home game per season to Christchurch for 3 years (2024-26 inclusive).
The first two years will have the game played at the current stadium, but 2026 should see the game played at the new Te Kaha stadium, currently under construction.
