Im talking support for their professional clubs and marketing for their top tier comp. BBL does it well and is reflected in crowds. Other sports dont have the money to do it at serious levels like NRL and AFL does.

Participation doesnt necessarily translate to prof club attendance, its far more complex than that. If it wasnt Aleague would be by far the biggest comp in Australia. Thats not to say getting as many people interested and playing your sport isnt important for a whole raft of reasons.
