And how much money has Australia taken out of PNG over the last century?
Pretty good result for some. Multi-nationals pillage the country, and the Australian tax payer compensates them. And how much money has Australia taken out of PNG over the last century?

'Massive push': NRL legends back Māori-Pacific team bid

Not sure this a great idea, isn't working that well in rugby, likely wont work in league either. Their target audience are already Warriors fans. Maybe it might work if they all wear red, they call them Mana Tonga, and they mostly Tongan (heritage) players.![]()

A Government with ACT (the Association of C***s & Tax-avoiders) in it? Nope.Wonder if kiwi government will offer funding to this bid?!
Christchurch makes most sense to me.

Neoliberals that believe in reducing Government spending are in power right now. No climate for splashing on an NRL team.
Some stinky baitWith the relaunch of under 20's, which was huge for Warriors in NZ I wonder whether the NRL should actually have four teams in NZ.
Auckland, ChristChurch, Wellington, Hamilton?
Doing so would broaden the drawing.
"Sell" these teams to either the Warriors or Aussie teams (or NRL bids).
For instance, the Melbourne Storm may be interested in launching Wellington Storm as a direct feeder. Roosters in Hamilton.
They can preempt and prepare for NRL expansion and create even greater junior pathways that Union can't really match right now.
