Would love to see Will Young press on. He's a bit on the fringe and he's really only there in this match because Conway isn't. He isn't really into the convo until Taylor retires, but geez a century here would say something.

NZ can thank DRS for still being in this game. The umpires had their fingers up long before India were appealing in some instances lol

So Ashwin is still cheating, but he's not been warned for cheating because he's running across the pitch and straight through the danger area, he's been warned for cheating because he's running so far he's impeding the non-striker.

This is cooked

Lot stacked against us, and I’m pretty sure we’ll lose this series

but I think again we’re showing we’re a quality test side and being number 1 isn’t punching above our weight, we’re just good atm (clearly unlike others we won’t always be good)

Wagner should play ahead of Somerville, and moving forward Conway at 5, Nicholls or Rachindra (if a few overs is needed) at 6 looks powerful

and Tommy is just quality

That looked outside the line live. 3 DRS reviews doesn't help if umpires call favours the dodgy umpiring?

Lots against us here

familiar patterning India though, openers do well and really tough to start on these decks especially were it’s Indian umpires with twitchy fingers…

I thought Latham's innings cost us. 15 years ago that would have been a great knock, with the advent of T20 you can just see the scoreboard pressure getting to his partners. We needed to be at 220-230 when the second ball arrived to have a good shot at a lead of 50-100.

I don't watch every test but I think that’s the first time I've seen an injured wicket-keeper replaced by a specialist keeper.

Rule changed a few years ago.

And I don't like it.

Look the only reason I don't like it is cos there's something charmingly village about your only specialist fielder going off and being replaced by a net bowler while Justin Langer or Mike Hussey randomly has to put the gloves on.

Same. I can remember Boonie doing it once too.
