Yesterdays game should have been simulcast on FTA...

It serves no purpose, not doing it... based on current numbers we would get 270k if its exclusive on FOX, and 268k still on FOX if it was simulcast on FTA

We are just depriving 60% of the population the chance to watch a public holiday game..

The AFL figures are massive on FTA on easter monday.. and we just sit there and go oh well.. let 60% of Brisbane only have the AFL to watch today... its so dumb

Unfortunately we've been doing that for years. I can remember when our Anzac Day game was Fox Sports only. The NRL basically said to the bulk of the Sydney and Brisbane population "why don't you watch a little fumbleball on Anzac Day"

Surely you could structure a media deal.. to have some special weeks where FTA have 4 games... like anzac week and easter week. etc..

Thats basically the reason we have no Thursday night game before good friday.. as nine only have 3 games a week and want to show the good friday game.. so the game suffers..

Because it's not only Channel 9 who benefit from it being on, the game of rugby league benefits from as much free-to-air exposure as possible.

My opinion is that the nrl should televise 1 Friday night game but do what they did a while back by telecasting a qld game into qld and nsw into nsw. Storm/cowboys/titans/broncs into qld and everyone else to nsw. And all storm games televised into Vic. With such shit fta ratings channel 9 would pay overs for a 4th game (9th expansion game).

Channel 9 are making more money from 3 live games then they where from the delayed games.

So decrease the total viewership is your plan.....that will also lessen what C9 make from the NRL and will lessen the next FTA tv deal.

It should be on FTA on Easter Monday... doesn't have to be Ch 9 ...

I dont think Fox would blow up if Ch 10 simulcast it..

Actually I'd give 10 sat night 7.30pm game as well.. it hardly affects Fox numbers..
