Man that was brutal for the Roosters.

Interesting to see Haas' reduced minutes, cant remember the last time he was spelled so early. But wonder if its a deliberate plan by Madge telling him to empty the tank and win the middle early.

If the field at Allianz was up to standard, the Broncos would have put 70 on Easts.
No doubt they can scored plenty of points, but their defence & attitude towards it determines how deep they go this year.

Roosters look headed for a very poor year.

PW, nice heart but they lost, to the Knights. It needs to get better for Wests. 10-8, Newcastle.

No Queensland side is playing there this weekend. The NRL must've had a crystal ball!

...and Souths get off to a winning start, 16-14 over Dolphins, who were safe and relatively dry in Sydney.

only able to view the youtube highlights but it seemed like Knights were making huge carving runs through the Tigers team (woeful tackling) then fizzling out in the red zone for the most part? Was that about right?

They did lose, pretty inexperienced side who missed a lot of tackles, more than we did, but scrambled well and make most that counted. They'll get better when Api comes back in, and Bhula given Mason was shown up again at the back.

The Knights are the kings of low scoring close wins. Ponga is a freak

the Phins game was supposed to be at Suncorp but got moved.

as it turned out that probably wasn’t necessary though it would’ve been pretty soggy.
Will take that for Round 1, Tom and Olakau’atu were next level

Didn’t see any of the Dogs win

your outside backs are scary.

Dogs built a big lead but let the Dragons back in, need to lift their game to trouble the heavyweights.

So are ours! But for a different reason.

Plenty of pace there, Hopoate is a special talent, makes a great play in every game he plays

Paseka the key to the season for me, if he plays to his ability and size they will have plenty of space to work with

28-0, 24 minutes gone. The big four are looking ominous, Hughes, Grant, Pap and Munster. The Eels' only hope is that they lose steam in the second-half.

After this weekend maybe an NRL first and second division is actually a good idea?

Edit: 40-0, it aint even halftime! Dropped ball at the kick-off and Bellamy's blowing up in the box! He's ruthless.

...Tago scores from a bomb. 40-6 at the break...I mean 46-6! I blinked and there was another from Pap seconds before the siren. Eight tries to one.
