What a wierd round so far, so many teams getting out to big leads and getting reeled in including both our NRL and NSW cup sides. At least both of ours held on for the win though unlike some of the others!
Worse than Carige? What did he do?Big call, but Kenny may have just made the worst play in NRL history, you’ve got Cleary in your side FFS !!
Last couple of mins, 20m out, last tackle with Cleary in the pocket ready to knock over the match winner. Chose a terrible little scoot from dummy half that was never on them shovelled the ball to someone who was immediately tackledWorse than Carige? What did he do?
Man, I only watched the 5-min highlights but that was intense.
Looked like some scrub field goal attempts, just like the one in our game (was it Flanagan?) that Blocker said word for word was 'a perfect strike but off the side of the boot'
He didn't strike it well, but it was a point.after watching the panthers and cowboys struggling to hit the side of a barn, im appreciative of Metcalf dg even more.
yeh if he had been further out he would have missed it to the right ....but he didnt, so thats the key takeaway from thatHe didn't strike it well, but it was a point.
I think this might be the most congested table in history by the end of the season.Just had a Quick Look at the ladder. Think that point will be a good thing for NQ, as it takes their points diff out of the equation which is poor
Also I doubt this will have ever happened, and will never happen again, after 1/3rd of the season, the team sitting 2nd has a point differential of 1, and the team sitting 2nd last has a differential of -2. Both of those are crazy low
Man did Creighton turn it on and they became passive in defense on him letting him start to wind up.32-20 now to the Dogs. The Raiders are the second team this weekend to blow a 20-0 lead. It's a humiliation at Canberra...
...and that's the final score.
Panthers wish they could have kept him I reckonI can't recall a better performance in a half from a centre that Crichton for the Dogs. That was an incredible comeback led by a hell of a leader & player.
Yea man no doubt. Takes a special player to have his sort of influence as a player and leader from centre.Panthers wish they could have kept him I reckon
He didn't strike it well, but it was a point.
Only ones I can think of are Meninga and O'Connor atm, Kenny too but wasn't until he was playing lock that he captained the Eels from memory, and only played centre at rep level - maybe CroninYea man no doubt. Takes a special player to have his sort of influence as a player and leader from centre.
Some amazing centres over the years like GI, but struggling to think of other genuine leaders from out there.
Forgot Lyon, but did mention O'ConnorI’m biased, and it may be a different kind of leadership, but I haven’t seen a better centre in the NRL era than Jamie Lyon, premiership winning captain as well
Yes, a horror show is happening at Melbourne. Currently 52-0 with plenty left on the clock. The poor Tigers' faithful. One step forward, four steps back.Storm ending the Tigers season...
