Here come Manly! Try!!

The Roosters' defence finally cracks. Lovely pass by Schuster, great line ran by Ben T.

18-16, Manly. Eight mins to go.

Edit: bugger, Easts in pole position, a full set, ten metres out, sixty seconds left...

...the Sea Eagles hold out, what a finish, phew! 18-16, Manly. Final. Great to have a close game this round!

Match of the round. Roosters playing for their season with incredible line speed and power through the forwards.

DCEs kicking and all around effort carrying Manly across the line

I don't need to hear commentators use the term 'clunky' - in reference to a stilted, ineffective attack - again. It's suddenly become really overused.

Will take that win, not great for the ticker at the end though

Couldn’t really deal with Easts rushing defence all game, but that ball from Schuster that unlocked it was an absolute beauty

A round of hidings with a few close ones! Rd18 Ladder:

This is looking a bit spooky now. Lose next week and we'll drop out of the eight, where we haven't been for most of the year.

Let's comfortably write-off those bottom four for finals contention. The Knights are grimly hanging on. Ironically, their positive f/a is mostly irrelevant because of that draw with Manly. Otherwise it'd be a major plus for them.

The Cowboys are the big movers, which is OK really - we all like Payten - as long as it's not at the expense of us! But, geez, it might be.
