Do South Africans play league? Huge ex pat SA community in Perth. Maybe theres potential to get some homegrown talent? Kiwis as well.
That's an interesting question because I specifically remember them being out here playing league in the '90s. They were in a nines tournament or something. Here in Sydney.

The team was called the South African Rhinos or something. Then I never heard from them again.

Anyone notice that the Bronco's first try last night was basically a carbon copy of Leka's try against them last week?

Yep they were in the 9s, and if the memory stretches back correctly they were in the 1995 World Cup and the Aussies put 110pts on them

In hindsight, our Anzac Day tradition against Melbourne made for a very long day when there wasn't a day off the next day. Seven pm (nine pm in NZ) was pushing it.

Roosters storm back into form with a 46-18 demolition of St George.

Plus I've just heard that Souths have never won in Melbourne. I'm expecting to hear that's not true.

Gee, Melbourne does the Anzac Day ceremony well. I wish the Warriors were still there. If only we could compete to merit the occasion.

Six-all in Melbourne. The Rabbs survived the initial onslaught and are going tit-for-tat right now.

...grinding away, completing 13/13 sets, waiting for the opposition to make a mistake, then pounce. That's a Bennett-coached side at work.

10-6, Souths.

I bloody tipped them though, so I want them to win (I'll be 3-0 so far) but, I don't want them to win!

Anyway, they'll win. 24-10, with nine mins left.

That's why I abandoned our tipping comp .... started wanting teams I hate to win because of my tips...and that didn't sit well with me after a while.

I went to the 2014 one, when we last won it (apart from last night). It was EPIC.

I think the NRL f**ked up by removing that as an ANZAC Day fixture. Bring it back, and share it each side of the Tasman each year.

The draw does need some tweaking - I can't remember the teams, but listening to Levels on Thursday, at least 2-3 teams have already played another side twice and we're in Round 8? Holy shit, Round 8. Vegas feels like last week.

Tigers have already played the Knights and Eels twice
