Let's put it in perspective.
They won by 7 on home soil against a side that had numerous Test players out and hadn't played one match in preparation. Leeds played 4 according to the commentators.
If the Dogs had played two matches in preparation, they would have won comfortably.

now lets tell the truth....
Lets.

leeds had a 90% home grown team out on the pitch which is surely a good thing. we had our player of the season in 2004 on the sidelines injured. the bulldogs had 10 gf winners on the field. we didn't play 4 proper warm up games. the leeds club played 4 games but these were played by mostly academy players with 2 or 3 first teamers getting 20 minute run outs.
Still, 4 warm-up matches is better than none, don't you think?
The Bulldogs were missing their playmaker Sherwin along with a number of other players and Anasta lasted a few minutes. Corey Hughes is a toiler at best. Swap Sherwin for him and the result would have been different.
If you claim they had 10 GF players playing, that means 7 Grand Final players were missing.
You're the 1/2 full guy, I'm the 1/2 empty guy.

if leeds had really prepared and were at full strength against the dogs team that showed up we seriously would have put 60 or 70 past them. both teams need to take the games more seriously.
That is borderline insane. Leeds had absolutely everything in their favour and won by 7. I doubt that there's an ESL team that could put 70 past one of the top 4 Premier League teams.

the last time both teams took it seriously wigan won on your soil.
Good God man, that was how long ago?
If the match just played had been played in Sydney with the Dogs having a decent preparation, the Dogs would have wiped the floor with Leeds.
I think it is a sham at the moment. Until it's played when both sides have had some sort of decent preparation, it will remain a sham and a game that only the Poms and the fans of the Australian team playing can get excited over.

i agree with alot said here, we've got maye 4 strong teams right now but they ARE strong teams and the others are catching up slowly.
I watch the ESL when it's on Fox here and if anyone seriously considers it to be equal to the NRL they are cetifiable. There is a long, long, long way to go.

forget gb for now. our club level is where it's at for the forseeable future and that's where we'll continue to beat you.
Bollocks.
We could probably send a prison side to Pomgolia and make the ESL top 6.
If you don't have
everything in your favour, your teams just won't win.
The National side is a prime example. You're well in it whilst we're underprepared but as soon as we've settled in, bang, it all goes pear-shaped for you.
Simple.
You guys just have to get over it. Penis envy isn't a good look.
