The (relatively) huge NRL grant and salary cap levels out the inherent difference in resourcing between the NRL clubs, at least to an extent. The NRL funding and salary cap for the women's comp don't even come close to flattening out the resourcing differences between the clubs, which is what you see with the NRLW. For example, clubs with sponsors that can offer players cushy day jobs have a massive advantage over the clubs that can't. Look how hard Penitani pushed to get out of her Eels contract. "Just wanted to play with her mates" hey? Of course she did.
