Only saw the last 20mins of that half, but thought Riki was great when he came on. Good leg speed, and plenty of touches.

Entertaining game, very physical, some scuffles and plenty of weird shit happening. Cup can pretty fun to watch at times.

I thought Brad Fearnley May have made more of an impact with the Sharks but has been struggling to get game time with their feeder club the Newtown Jets. I see he is listed at 18 against us on the weekend.
People were adamant he was moving clubs for better oppournity. You don't sign for better opportunity on a train and trial. One major injury (10 week+) and you've got no contract and have play amatuer football and pray you get noticed by someone. The lack of job security keep players up at night, it's not a thing anyone who isn't desperate/with other options would do. Sharks have better forward depth compared to us anyway.

The only thing that makes sense is the club chose not to re-sign him.

No one can tell me Jenkins would offer 1st grade less than Peachey. Eliminating the dumb kicks and passes alone puts him ahead. Younger, bigger, stronger, faster.

Except they want him as a winger. The problem is Cole and McLean aren't FG ready.

Peachey isn't an 80 min player anymore. 20-30 mins off the bench should be how he is used

Next man up in the Backrow has to be Riki, very hard runner who has a bit of X factor. Liam Henry was a beast with 20 runs for over 160m, Faiumu was a real handful when caring the ball too. Jenkins has to be playing First grade for To’o over the Origin period, made a lot of metres and scored again.

I think the club have been really smart moving Jenkins to the wing. They probably figured To'o will get selected for NSW and they will need a winger in first grade and he is next man up. He gets to learn the position in NSW cup, ready for the SOO period. Good forward planning.

The run in NSW cup, where he looked very good, will help Luke blow out some rust. Garner looked meh, you didn't notice he was even playing, same for Geyer. Riki looks the best back rower in NSW cup at the moment.

Spud Carroll's view was the Panther's can win the NSW cup again. I will take his word for it, he has been seeing all the games. We sometimes forget our cup team has been playing really young players to cover for injuries and a new set of halves will always take time to gel.

Garner's strength is his hole running. Which he scored from. Not many missed tackles so that is all you can ask for.

They play up the middle and don't use the edges much. Geyer didn't much ball either as a result.

Faiumu, Lisati and Riki, Smith are now all middles and the game plan reflects that

As for them winning, They have a very young side and it depends who quick they develop.

Flegg are the most likely of the 3 grades to win, Which is good moving forward
