He hasn't shown an ability to learn from his mistakes & iron out his flaws. If anything, he was worse in his return to the test side.

Scores aside, his technique is orthodox & sometimes he gets caught between the shot he wants to play & the shot he should play. He still has issues with his consistency. He'll play two near identical deliveries with two different shots/mindsets

I agree with all this, just think that not being able to fix flaws in your game by the time you're 24 isn't necessarily a death sentence for a batsman.

With the exception of a small minority like JM and age.s the rest of you have been poisoned by your hatred of me to the point where you cannot think clearly. Look at a sample of what the wider public thinks in the last 24 hours. It show how extreme all your anti-WGG opinions are.

Phil WilliamGilbertGrace' 118 is his 3rd Shield ton this summer. Hard to crack the #Ashes squad, but he could push for spot in 3-Test tour of RSA in Feb

Doolan and Maddinson or Lynn are who I think they'll take as batsmen. Paine as the backup gloveman.

Would also consider Mitchell Marsh as an option if he ends the season well. Really is the perfect Shan Watson replacement. Unlike Faulkner, he can bat top 6, and he is fairly quick.

Didn't say he should be picked this summer like those clowns on twatter. No need to change a winning formula just yet. Reckon he'll be back in the picture at some point is all.

I understand, while I don't agree with you 100% (I think if Rogers fails in Perth 1 50 in 3 tests should not be considered good enough and he should be dropped for Melbourne) my point was both you and JM actually have reasonably moderate opinions.

While I think he should be brought in as soon as Boxing day if the circumstances are right I respect people who say "not this season but at some point in the future". That is a level headed opinion. What I don't respect is the fools who think he is terrible and should never be considered ever again. That is not a reasonable opinion.

People who argue he isn't worthy of a squadspot on the next tour are simply mad.

Exactly. That's my point. Although I'd word it differently.

The people who let their feelings towards me affect how they feel about a player I like are the creepy ones who need help.

There are people who want him to fail solely because I rate him and the idea of me being proven right sickens them. They're the creepy ones.

It's the fact that you think it's fun to mention him every ten seconds including death riding current players. It's dumb. Stop being dumb. If you aren't trolling stop talking about him for a few weeks. Just a few weeks.

No

It's a weird obsession and Pete Cash is on the money as well.

The selectors will always be hesitant to change a winning combination.

Phil WilliamGilbertGrace is doing what he can do and that is scoring runs at Shield level. But scoring runs at domestic level has never been a problem for him

He probably wil be in the squad that goes to South Africa

Ricky Ponting scored a shitload of runs in the Shield after he was dropped (I mean retired) from the Test side. By BM logic, he should have been brought back in.

Sometimes, especially after already being dropped three times, you need to look beyond the scoreboard.
