When do we drop Phil Hughes from the test side

I liked BM claiming Rogers hasnt been in form the last 12 months. He's scored the same amount of test centuries as Hughes has in his career in the past eight test matches and been excellent in any other first class cricket in that time.

There is a reasonable argument for Hughes eventually coming back into the side. But deathriding batsmen who have performed very well is f**king lame.

The issue with Phruity Phil is that like Ponting and Clarke before him he was recognised as a real talent early and brought into the side at a young age to cultivate that talent. Like Phruity Punting and Clarke were dropped. Unlike Phruity they made the absolute most of their chance once they came back, adapting and improving their games and being mentally tough.

Phruity has gone backwards in his game. He cannot play spin to save himself. I hope he gets another chance and makes the most of it but I believe that he's mentally fragile.

Of all my stupid posts to mock you mock one that isn't wrong?

I get the feeling Lehmann had a quiet word to Murali just before the first test regarding HAH.

I think Murali was brutally honest , ouch

Why else didn't he play? waste of resources and one on one time if you ask me

What an idiot. He never went along as a first XI player. In an interview a while ago they said they see him strictly as an opener. He needs to get his eye in against quicks to be more effective against spinners. That's where he has had his unparalleled 1st class success.

When Rogers gets dropped or retires Hughes will be the replacement. That is what he is being groomed for. I could see that being as soon as this summer.
