That was my first thought but given the threat to the islands of death from them thought wave was a little more appropriate lol. Also the wave that is fighting back the chinese hoards seemed quite apt!

Are waves specific to Png? Im suprised there isn't a bid for the WA "Perf" Waves
It depends how hard on the govt is for a 'pacific' team. Though it would be more logical (not that theres much logic in either tbh) to have a png team in port moresby AND a pacific team based in nz rather trying to be everything to everyone with PNG.

Nz2 wont be a Pacific team... theres a failing RU version of that... best if its going to be a roaming team that its based in aus... purey due to the 16 other teams that they'll be playing here, as opposed to the one Nz team and 6-8 home games in Pacific
It'll be interesting to see the Hamilton crowd at the weekend, maybe a base for a pacific team (Id leave Sth Island for NZ2 eventually). Again only reason you would even entertain the notion is if Govt was paying for it. Dont get me wrong I think they are both dumb ideas that will fail eventually but this is Vlandys world where investing in dumb ideas seems to be the go.
Im not suggesting it should be. Just if Govt want to fund a PNG and Pacific team that would be the logical, hahah, place to put it.
Bears would be smart to relocate to Hamilton as the NZ2 team... unless an actual nz2 bidder exists
Cassowaries live in PNG and FNQ. They're the most dangerous bird on the planet.
A quick read on Wikipedia says the Bati is a Warrior Caste, but I think there was a history of cannibalism post battle for the Fijians.
That's literally every sensible person's position on a PNG NRL side. . . It's probably inevitable given time, but neither the league nor the country is ready for it yet, and it'll end in tears if it happens too early.
There's a history of cannibalism basically everywhere, in fact it's so ubiquitous that culture's without some history of cannibalism are the unusual ones. It's one of those quirks of human behaviour that polite society and academia likes to pretend is overstated or even didn't really exist, more myth than reality, but is actually a common behaviour, especially amongst hunter gatherers.
